The Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year 2023 event features a variety of Overwatch 2 Year of the Rabbit challenges and rewards. With all the controversy surrounding how players unlock cosmetics in Overwatch 2, the free Year of the Rabbit rewards is a pleasant surprise. There's only so much time, so make sure you're aware of the Overwatch 2 Year of the Rabbit challenges and rewards!

All Overwatch 2 Year Of The Rabbit Challenges

The Year of the Rabbit event challenges task Overwatch 2 players with completing various objectives in the limited-time Lunar New Year brawls. You will have until February 6, 2023, to hop into Capture the Flag, Capture the Flag Blitz, and Bounty Hunter and finish these event-themed challenges:

  • Catch the Rabbit
    • Capture the flag in CTF or CTF Blitz.
  • Lucky Rabbit
    • Win six games in CTF or Competitive CTF.
  • Mark of the Rabbit
    • Win ten games in Bounty Hunter.
  • Sixth Time's the Charm
    • Eliminate the bounty target six times.
  • Auspicious Victories
    • Win eight games in CTF Blitz.
  • Lucky Pouch
    • Complete two challenges in Lunar New Year.
  • Good Fortune Kkachi
    • Complete four challenges in Lunar New Year.

All Overwatch 2 Year Of The Rabbit Challenge Rewards

Completing the Year of the Rabbit challenges during the Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year 2023 event will net you all kinds of special rewards. And if you complete at least four, you will receive the Legendary Echo Kkachi skin for free!

Below is a list of the rewards you can earn and what challenges they are tied to:

  • 1,000 Battle Pass XP
    • Capture the flag in CTF or CTF Blitz.
  • Year of the Rabbit Name Card and 1,000 Battle Pass XP
    • Win six games in CTF or Competitive CTF.
  • Year of the Rabbit Spray and 1,000 Battle Pass XP
    • Win ten games in Bounty Hunter.
  • 1,000 Battle Pass XP
    • Eliminate the bounty target six times.
  • Hongbao Souvenir and 1,000 Battle Pass XP
    • Win eight games in CTF Blitz.
  • Lucky Pouch Weapon Charm
    • Complete two challenges in Lunar New Year.
  • Echo Kkachi skin
    • Complete four challenges in Lunar New Year.

  • Earning the Year of the Rabbit challenge rewards is a great way to top off the Overwatch 2 Season 2 Battle Pass.

Furthermore, anyone that logs into Overwatch 2 before the end of the Year of the Rabbit will get the Year of the Rabbit Player Icon for free! 

Also, from January 11, 2023, to January 25, 2023, tune into drops-enabled Overwatch 2 live streams on Twitch to collect the Moria's Lion's Head Victory Pose and Masked Dancer Legendary skin.

Watch for two hours with your linked Battle.net account to unlock The Lion Roars Victory Pose for Moira. And then watch an additional four hours to receive the beautiful Masked Dancer Legendary skin for Moira. 

So, as you can see, there's plenty to get into during the Overwatch 2 Year of the Rabbit event. Participate in all the festivities from January 17, 2023, to February 6, 2023! 

According to Blizzard, Overwatch 2 Season 3 will kick off shortly after the Year of the Rabbit!
