How many heroes are there in Overwatch 2 (Season 7)

There are 38 unique heroes in Overwatch 2, each with their own counters. With the previous support hero being added in Season 6, we can expect this number to rise in Season 8 with the inclusion of a new Tank hero.

As you can see above, the Damage class has the most amount of heroes, meaning they will likely have the most counter-heroes to go against them. So, be sure to read below for the counters to all the heroes.

With a roster the size of Overwatch 2's you're bound to find several heroes that will counter your mains. So it is essential that you play a wide array of heroes for you to be able to switch and to complement your party, and defeat your opponents.

Damage Hero Counters

Every hero has their way of countering and can often synergise with others. While Sombra can hack and disable abilities, Torbjorn's turret can target faster heroes or those who rely on flying.
