You might need the Overwatch 2 scoreboard explained due to the new layout, and some of the new information it provides to players about their gameplay. Much of it looks the same as the first Overwatch title, so old players shouldn't be too troubled by the new design, but it's distinctly more readable now due to the layout change. So if you need a breakdown of the Overwatch 2 scoreboard, including its different stats, we've got you covered.

For the most part, the Overwatch 2 scoreboard looks pretty standard and should be easy enough to read for anyone familiar with multiplayer FPS games, but there are some aspects that specific to Overwatch and its mechanics, along with some differences from the first game.

Looking at the picture above, from left to right, the scoreboard shows the player role *tank, attacker, support, a portrait of their character, the player's name, their ultimate progress, and then it has six major statistics that are represented. These are:

  • Eliminations (E) - Represents how many kills you have during a game. You don't need to make the last hit on an enemy to earn the elimination.
  • Assists (A) - Assists are earned by helping another player earn a kill but without damaging the enemy, such as healing a player as they eliminate an enemy.
  • Deaths (D) - How many times you have died during the game.
  • Damage Dealt (DMG) - This is the numerical value of the total damage you have dealt over the course of the game.
  • Healing (H) - This shows the numerical value of how much healing you've done to other players and yourself.
  • Damage Mitigated (MIT) - The Overwatch 2 MIT stat represents how much damage you have blocked and negated with your abilities.

On the right of the scoreboard, there is also a box of stats that are wholly unique to the character you are currently playing as. In our example above, it lists mechanics and the abilities associated with Lucio, such as knockback kills due to the effect of his Soundwave ability, and the total amount of Sound Barriers provided, which is his ultimate. These change from character to character, and it gives a more in-depth breakdown of how well you are using your kit.

That's the Overwatch 2 scoreboard explained, and now you know what information is provided in the full layout, along with what each statistic represents.
