You'll want to know the Overwatch 2 Ramattra release date if you are looking forward to getting your hands on the brand-new character set to join the lineup soon. Overwatch 2 has been successful for Blizzard, with over 25 million players jumping into the game since the launch in early October. While the launch featured a new character, the game's second season is set to introduce someone as well, so check out the Overwatch 2 Ramattra release date and learn more about this upcoming character.

Overwatch 2 Ramattra Release Date

The Overwatch 2 Ramattra release date is the same as the Season 2 release, meaning players can try out the brand-new character on December 6, just a little under a month away as of writing this. Ramattra will be introduced in the same way as the Overwatch 2 launch character Kiriko, who could be earned by levelling the battle pass to level 55, or purchasing the premium track. This is disappointing news for some players who don't want to have to grind for 50 or more hours to unlock Ramattra, and it's the only free way to earn the character.

Ramattra was first introduced as an Overwatch character back in 2019, during the Storm Rising event, where he was shown briefly during a cinematic with Doomfist. There haven't been any mentions of him since the recent announcement of him joining the lineup, and while we don't know much, we know they are set to be a tank who has two different forms: Omnic form and Nemesis form. Both of these forms are set to offer different gameplay opportunities, with the player getting different abilities based on the form.

That's all for our rundown of the Overwatch 2 Ramattra release date, and now you know when you can play the new tank.

Make sure to also check out what we know about the Overwatch 2 Season 2 battle pass, including what you can earn.
