Now that Overwatch 2 has gone free-to-play, gaining cosmetics and other unlockables is not as easy as it once was. Unless you’re willing to drop some extra cash or commit to a lot of grinding, then you’re going to have to find other means of grabbing some new content. Luckily, it’s not ridiculously hard to do so, if you have the time.

With Twitch, Overwatch 2 players will be able to pick up exclusive rewards from time to time. It really is as simple as that and in a few quick steps, you will also be able to dive in and grab some rewards. If you’ve never used Twitch or need a refresher on how to set it up, here’s everything you need to know about getting Twitch drops in Overwatch 2.

If you’re wondering what Twitch Drops are, they are simply rewards you can gain by watching certain streams on Twitch. Some have certain requirements, such as watching a particular stream for two hours, and you may need to link accounts, but it’s pretty straightforward stuff.

In the case of Overwatch 2, you will need to ensure your Battle.net and Twitch account are linked. You can do that by following this quick guide:

  • Login to your Battle.net account which is used for Overwatch 2.
  • After logging in, go to the Battle.net connections page.
  • Simply click connect on Twitch and follow the instructions to link the two accounts.

Once this has been completed, you will be eligible for any Overwatch 2 rewards that are given out as Twitch Drops. We will most likely see regular updates for new cosmetics being available, so be sure to keep an eye out on the official Overwatch 2 and Blizzard social media channels to stay up to date.

At present, there’s a variety of rewards available for the hero Kiriko. This includes some legendary skins, sprays, and charms. It’s currently split into two time frames when they are available:

Twitch Drop 1

Players will need to watch six hours total of streams within the Overwatch 2 category from October 7 at 2:00 PM PDT until October 16 at 11:59 PM PDT.  The reward for this stream will be the Legendary Sukajan Kiriko skin after four hours of watching and the “I take care of my friends” voice line after two hours.

Twitch Drop 2

Players will need to watch a stream in the Overwatch 2 category on Twitch for two hours from October 17 at 11:00 AM until October 24 at 12:00 AM PDT. The reward for this stream will be the Razor Sharp Kiriko spray. Also, for anyone who watches for a further three hours (making for five in total), the Donut Weapon charm will be rewarded.

After you’ve watched the stream for the allocated time, you may need to wait up to 24 hours for the rewards to arrive in your Overwatch 2 account.
