When you have a constantly online game such as Overwatch 2, you’re likely to run into issues every now and again. As Blizzard continues to improve stability and ensure everyone can jump into Overwatch 2 as and when they want, it may provide some roadblocks for players eagerly trying to get in.

As with any other online game, Overwatch 2 is prone to receiving server maintenance. This means players will be unable to log in and be forced to wait until the servers reopen. It’s a bit of a pain, but thankfully, these short closures are brief, and it won’t be long before you’re jumping back in. When is the next server maintenance for Overwatch 2?

At present, there is no planned maintenance in the future for Overwatch 2. That being said, we don’t expect it to be too long before the next server maintenance is underway. As the game goes through a rocky launch, with long wait times and players being kicked off the servers consistently, we imagine more scheduled maintenance is on the way.

The last set of server maintenance in Overwatch 2 took place on October 6, 2022. Two periods of downtime happened throughout the day, and were as follows:

There’s no estimated time of when this will be fixed, but constant updates are made when you load up Overwatch 2 which communicates everything you need to know.
