With the original Overwatch servers officially offline, many in the community are left wondering if you can get old Skins in Overwatch 2. While Overwatch 2 features its own assortment of fresh cosmetics, sometimes the allure of an OG Skin is hard to pass up. So, without further ado, let's discuss if it's possible to get old Skins in Overwatch 2.
Can You Get Old Skins In Overwatch 2?
Yes, you can get Overwatch 1 Skins in Overwatch 2. Of course, you can transfer Overwatch Skins to Overwatch 2, but if you don't already own old Skins from the original Overwatch, you can still unlock them for the first time in Overwatch 2.

How To Get Old Skins In Overwatch 2
Visit the Hero Gallery in Overwatch 2 to view a selection of Skins available for each particular Hero. Naturally, a few of the old Epic and Legendary Skins from Overwatch 1 are available to purchase. Most of these Skins will require Overwatch Coins to unlock, but a limited number of them can be had for Overwatch 2 Legacy Credits. Additionally, you may notice that some of the Legendary Seasonal Event Skins from the original Overwatch are up for sale in Overwatch 2.
As might be expected, not all old Skins and cosmetics are outright available to unlock in Overwatch 2. However, that's where the 'Just for You' section of the in-game Shop comes into play. This segment of the Shop features personalised offers based on what you tend to play and equip in-game, plus rotating bundles. But, for the first few seasons of Overwatch 2, 'Just for You' will rotate in old Skins and other items from Overwatch 1 to allow players that missed out initially to catch up. Check the "Just for You' section regularly if you're on the hunt for old Skins.
With all this said, keep in mind that select old Skins may never return to Overwatch 2. Some of the rarest and most sought-after old Skins, like Illidan Genji and Pink Mercy, are likely discontinued forever. No matter how often you check the Shop, the chances Blizzard makes these Skins available again is slim to none. But never say never!
