If you're reading this then you may be wondering, how many GB is Overwatch 2? Overwatch 2 is the sequel to the massive hero shooter Overwatch, which was released back in 2016, making a huge impact on multiplayer gaming. While many expected the game to just be updated for years to come, Blizzard created a free-to-play sequel instead, with all the same characters, maps, and modes, along with new additions to each. If you're looking to play Overwatch 2, but want to know the download size first, we've got you covered.

Overwatch 2 requires 50 GB of hard drive space, and while this is a pretty large amount when to download and store, sizes like this are becoming more and more common in modern gaming. The 50 GB download size comes directly from Blizzard themselves, on their system requirements page on the Battle.net website.

Console users won't be affected as much, as the game is only 30 GB on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, but as more updates come and new content is added, this will quickly begin to grow and likely surpass the 50 GB size too. The exact size of the download will also be shown on the store page for your selected platform.

As of last year, the first Overwatch game was only 20 GB, meaning the sequel requires over double the amount of hard drive space to install. For many, a download of 50 GB is quite large and can take some time, but any subsequent updates (even the confirmed single-player campaign which is set to come in the future) will be much less.

That's all for our answer to the question, how many GB is Overwatch 2? Now you know you quill need 50 GB of space on PC, and 30 GB when playing on console.
