Hydra is one of the most powerful skills for the Sorcerer class, which summons a two-headed serpent that spits fireballs at enemies.  The Hydra can be upgraded with different runes to change its element, damage type, and behavior. For example, the Frost Hydra freezes enemies with icy blasts, while the Lightning Hydra shocks them with bolts of electricity.

But what if you want to double the damage with your Hydra summon? Well, there is a way to do that in Diablo 4, and it involves finding a special legendary item that grants you an additional Hydra active.

How do you get double Hydra?

To get double Hydra, you will need to look out for a legendary item with an additional Hydra ability. Here’s how you can do that:

  • Complete events to receive Murmuring Obols - Murmuring Obols are a special currency that can be used to buy legendary items from a vendor. The most consistent way to get Murmuring Obols is to complete events. Events are marked on the map with a blue exclamation point.
  • Gamble for it with gold or shards - You can also gamble for legendary items with gold or shards. To do this, visit a gambling vendor and spend your gold or shards on a random legendary item.
  • Buy it from another player - You can also buy a legendary item with the extra Hydra ability from another player. To do this, visit the game's auction house and search for the item.

Once you have a legendary item with the extra Hydra ability, you can equip it and cast Hydra twice to have two Hydras active at the same time. This will double your damage output and make you a tough force in combat.
