The new VALORANT Agent Gekko has finally been revealed, and he is certainly something to look forward to. New Agents in VALORANT don't just look cool, but they bring new ways to play that often shake up the meta and create new strategies.

But what are Gekko's abilities in VALORANT? Check out the rest of this guide below to find out, alongside details on his contract and release date too as a bonus.

Gekko's abilities in VALORANT centre entirely around his crew of calamitous creatures that he can send out to create various effects. You'll feel like you're straight out of Pokémon as you send out your little monsters onto the battlefield, but they will absolutely turn the tide of the round if you play your cards right.

Here are all of Gekko's abilities in VALORANT:

Dizzy (E)

  • Equips the Dizzy creature.
  • FIRE: Send Dizzy soaring forward through the air. Dizzy charges then unleashes plasma blasts at enemies in line of sight. Enemies hit by her plasma are blinded. When Dizzy expires she reverts into a dormant globule.
  • INTERACT: Reclaim the globule and gain another Dizzy charge after a short cooldown.

Wingman (Q)

  • Equips the Wingman creature
  • FIRE: send Wingman forward seeking enemies. Wingman unleashes a concussive blast toward the first enemy he sees.
  • ALT FIRE: Target a Spike site or planted Spike to have Wingman defuse or plant the Spike. To plant, Gekko must have the Spike in his inventory.
  • INTERACT: Reclaim the globule and gain another Wingman charge after a short cooldown.

Mosh Pit ( C)

  • Equips the Mosh creature.
  • FIRE: Throw mosh like a grenade.
  • ALT FIRE: Throw underhand.
  • Upon landing Mosh duplicates across a large area then after a short delay explodes.

Thrash (X)

  • Equips the Thrash creature.
  • FIRE: Link with Thrash’s mind and steer her through enemy territory.
  • ACTIVATE: Lunge forward and explode, detaining any enemies in a small radius. When Thrash expires she reverts into a dormant globule.
  • INTERACT:  Reclaim the globule and gain another Thrash charge after a short cooldown. Thrash can be reclaimed once.

As you can see, not only does Gekko have a plethora of abilities for you to use, but they are all incredibly strong. Being able to passively plant or defuse the Spike is already powerful on its own, but mixing that with a proto-flash makes Gekko's kit viable in so many scenarios - and that's just one ability!
