The VALORANT stuck in a loading screen bug can appear from time to time, making it a difficult time for you to get on the client or play the game. VALORANT is a fairly stable game, and Riot does well to stay on top of any bugs and glitches that are introduced in new updates, but with games, there's always something that can go wrong. So, if you need a primer on how to fix the VALORANT stuck in a loading screen bug, we've got you covered with some potential fixes below.

The VALORANT stuck in a loading screen bug is pretty much what it says on the tin, and sometimes when trying to load into the game or a match, the loading screen will continue. The difficulty is sometimes it can just take longer than usual to load, but if you're stuck waiting for more than five minutes, it's probably stuck. Below, we'll cover some of the ways to fix the bug.

Restart VALORANT

A simple and classic fix involves just restarting the game client and loading it back up. If you're stuck in a loading screen, ALT + F4 or ending the task in the task manager will work fine, and from there you can load the game back up and it should work.

Update Drivers

Sometimes the root of a loading problem is an out-of-date game client, drivers, or Windows version. Check all three if you're struggling to get past the loading screen, as one of these being outdated can cause performance issues too.

Reduce CPU Usage

Sometimes the cause of a loading screen problem is the game using too much of the CPU, meaning it will push your PC to its limits. You can try turning off any other programs as a start, but the best fix is if you open the task manager, click the 'Details' tab, right-click VALORANT, and then set the priority as high.

That's all for our breakdown of how to fix the VALORANT stuck in a loading screen bug, and now you should be able to get past the barrier of loading so you can play.

We also have an explainer for the VALORANT Premier mode, which is a new competitive mode coming sometime in 2023.
