The release of Starfield is drawing closer, with fans excited to hear what critics think of the game when their reviews drop. With the game releasing tomorrow, the review embargo for the game is drawing closer, so it isn't too long until we find out whether Starfield will sink or swim for Bethesda Game Studios.

As the first new IP from Bethesda Game Studios in over 25 years, there is a lot of hype behind Starfield and the vast space adventures that it promises. While Bethesda's last game wasn't exactly the biggest critical success, there are plenty of eyes on Starfield, with many wondering how highly the game will be scored.

We've got everything you need to know about when the Starfield reviews are meant to be released, so you can find out whether the game is worth picking up or not. Keep reading to learn more.

When is the Starfield review embargo? Date & time revealed

The Starfield review embargo will officially lift on August 31, 2023, at 5pm BST. This is, of course, just a few hours before the early access release date. While this can sometimes be concerning to see for a game, it's still a good week ahead of the full release of Starfield, which goes live on September 6.

Here is the Starfield review embargo date and time in a number of different time zones so you know exactly when to be ready to read:

Time Zone Embargo Time
PDT 09:00am (August 31)
EDT 12:00pm (August 31)
UTC 16:00pm (August 31)
BST 17:00pm (August 31)
CEST 18:00pm (August 31)
IST 21:30pm (August 31)
CST 00:00am (September 1)
JST 01:00am (September 1)
AEST 02:00am (September 1)

It appears as if review codes for Starfield were sent out to select outlets on August 17, 2023, meaning that early reviewers have had roughly two weeks to play the game before settling on their final score. While this perhaps might not encompass how long it takes to beat Starfield, it should hopefully be enough time to get a proper sense of the game and all of its systems.
