It can be quite handy to know what you need to level up your Escape From Tarkov Traders, as some quests require quite careful planning on that front. Furthermore, a lot of meta items in Escape From Tarkov are unlocked through the Traders, so knowing how far you need to go can really help give you a goal to work towards. So, for all the information you need about the level up requirements for the Escape From Tarkov Traders, make sure to have a read on down below.

If you're looking to level up your Escape From Tarkov Traders, then you're going to need to meet three specific requirements, which increase with every new loyalty level. The requirements are the following:

  • PMC level
  • Reputation with Trader
  • Money spent with Trader

You have to meet the requirement for all three of the above to level up each Trader's loyalty, and the amount required differs from Trader to Trader.

Increasing your PMC level can be done through a whole number of different actions in the game, but is mainly achieved through raid XP and completing quests. Rep on the other hand is only achieved through both main and operational quests from each specific Trader, but there are sometimes instances where you can lose Trader rep too.

Finally, money spent is fairly self-explanatory, as you need to have bought a specific amount from each trader to surpass this requirement. However, if you are unaware, there are some additional ways beyond just purchases that can help you reach this threshold.

Importantly, selling items to each Trader increases your money spent - which can often be your biggest contribution, but also using Trader services like insurance, repairs, and apparel are all included too.

Increasing your Trader loyalty level opens up new items to be purchased, in addition to some more quests too. Some of the best items in the game are locked behind the long-term goal of max Trader levels, so you better start grinding.

Each trader has a total of four loyalty levels that you will be able to progress through, and will start at zero Roubles spent, and zero reputation at the start of each new Escape From Tarkov wipe. If you have either the Prepare for Escape or Edge of Darkness editions of the game, you do get an additional 0.2 initial reputation with Traders, which can be a really helpful boost to begin with.

Here are the following Escape From Tarkov Trader level requirements you'll have to meet if you want to upgrade their loyalty:

Prapor Level Requirements

Loyalty level Required PMC level Required rep Required money spent
Level 1 1 0 0₽
Level 2 15 0.20 750,000₽
Level 3 26 0.35 1,500,000₽
Level 4 36 0.50 2,300,000₽

Therapist Level Requirements

Loyalty level Required PMC level Required rep Required money spent
Level 1 1 0 0₽
Level 2 13 0.15 400,000₽
Level 3 24 0.30 700,000₽
Level 4 35 0.60 900,000₽

Fence Level Requirements

Loyalty level Required PMC level Required rep Required money spent
Level 1 1 0 0₽
Level 4 1 6.00 0₽

Fence is a rather unique Trader in Escape From Tarkov, in that he only has one Loyalty stage at level 4, and this doesn't give any benefits or increases to his inventory.

Instead, it gives you a much greater chance of spawning with high-value loot as a scav, and the various scav bosses are no longer hostile towards you.

You can gain Fence rep through surviving scav runs, escaping through vehicle or cooperative extracts, or killing hostile player scavs. You will lose rep if you kill other scavs though, in increasing increments the more you do it.

Skier Level Requirements

Loyalty level Required PMC level Required rep Required money spent
Level 1 1 0 0₽
Level 2 15 0.20 800,000₽
Level 3 28 0.40 1,600,000₽
Level 4 38 0.75 2,600,000₽

Peacekeeper Level Requirements

Loyalty level Required PMC level Required rep Required money spent
Level 1 1 0 0₽
Level 2 14 0 $11,000
Level 3 23 0.30 $25,000
Level 4 37 0.60 $32,000

You can only start doing Peacekeepers quests and gaining rep for him after completing the Friend from the West part 2 quest from Skier, which can be a bit tough as it requires you to first complete the notorious Escape From Tarkov What's on the Flash Drive quest.

Mechanic Level Requirements

Loyalty level Required PMC level Required rep Required money spent
Level 1 1 0 0₽
Level 2 20 0.30 750,000₽
Level 3 30 0.30 1,600,000₽
Level 4 40 0.60 2,500,000₽

Ragman Level Requirements

Loyalty level Required PMC level Required rep Required money spent
Level 1 1 0 0₽
Level 2 17 0 750,000₽
Level 3 32 0.30 1,600,000₽
Level 4 42 0.60 2,500,000₽

Jaeger Level Requirements

Loyalty level Required PMC level Required rep Required money spent
Level 1 2 0 0₽
Level 2 15 0.20 750,000₽
Level 3 22 0.35 1,500,000₽
Level 4 33 0.50 2,300,000₽

Jaeger is technically the only Trader in Escape From Tarkov that requires you to be at least level two to unlock, but this is only because the completion of the Escape From Tarkov Introduction quest is required to unlock the Trader.

So, that rounds off everything you need to know about the Escape From Tarkov Traders level requirements. If you're needing a bit more money in your stash to afford the money spent for each Trader, why not check out the Escape From Tarkov best crafts to make some easy profit.
