Even experienced players are having a bit of trouble with the Escape From Tarkov Seaside Vacation quest, purely from the point of view that it is one of the new tasks that has arrived with patch 12.12.30. Often, quests in Escape From Tarkov ask you to find specific items in raid, but they do a rather unhelpful job of not really telling you where to go. However, have a read of this guide to find out all the locations you need to hit to complete the Escape From Tarkov Seaside Vacation quest from Therapist.

The Escape From Tarkov Seaside Location quest is a pick-up type task, where you are required to find a specific quest-locked item in a raid, and extract with it safely. These are often tricky, as they both require you to find the item itself, and then also avoid any dangers that you might encounter while trying to escape with it. Often your luck is determined by your spawn too, as having to go across the whole map with the item in your back pocket can be a tense, and frustrating experience if you die.

This specific quest has you looking for an informant's briefcase on the Lighthouse map, and thankfully this time you won't have to go near the Water Treatment Plant if you're sick of going there after quests like Escape From Tarkov Drug Trafficking.

If you manage to successfully extract with the briefcase, then you will be entitled to the following quest rewards:

  • 50,000 Roubles
  • 8,000 EXP
  • An increase of 0.02 to your Therapist rep
  • The ability to purchase Aluminium Splints at Therapist LL3

Make sure to carry on reading to see the location of the briefcase and a full step-by-step guide for how to complete the Escape From Tarkov Seaside Vacation quest.

To complete the Escape From Tarkov Seaside Vacation quest, you're going to want to head over to Lighthouse. Once on a the map, you need to head towards the branching roads on the main thoroughfare, just south of the main bridge next to the Water Treatment Plant.

From the split roads, you'll want to head west, down the road that leads towards the Quiet Coast beach houses. Keep following that road down until you reach the two houses at the bottom by the sea, and it is the second one - or the one furthest south - that you'll want to head into.

Instead of entering the house through the bottom floor, make sure to take the bridge across to the second level of the house, as that is the only way to reach the briefcase.

Once inside the house via the bridge, enter the first room off the left, which should be a bedroom. Inside there, you can find the briefcase underneath the bed next to the pillows, on the side that is next to the window.

Now the extracts from here are a bit more tricky than the other Lighthouse based quests. Your nearest possible extracts are likely to be the Mountain Pass or the Side Tunnel, but they require either the Red Rebel melee weapon or a friendly scav respectively to use.

From that point then, if you don't have access to either of the follow requirements, your best bets are either Path to Shoreline right at the top of the map, or the Southern Road extract if you follow the main road right when you get back up to it. You could argue that with the new Lighthouse expansion, the Southern Road extract is going to be just as dangerous as the Northern Checkpoint, but at least you won't have to contend with both PMCs and rogues over there.

If you happen to die along the way after picking up the briefcase, you will unfortunately have to start the whole process again, as like with all pick up type quests, Escape From Tarkov Seaside Vacation has extraction as a task requirement.

Once you have managed to successfully escape with the briefcase however, do remember to hand it over to Therapist immediately, as forgetting to do so and then dying in another, completely unrelated raid will also require you to start the quest again.

So, that's how to complete the Escape From Tarkov Seaside Vacation quest, including all the locations and tips you'll need to get your hands on the informant's briefcase and give it over to Therapist.
