The Escape From Tarkov Drug Trafficking quest from Therapist is one of the new tasks added to the game with the 12.12.30 update, meaning that you can't use your past Escape From Tarkov wipe experience to get this done. Due to the wipe system in Escape From Tarkov, many players are able to speed through quests through memory alone, but any new tasks can throw a spanner into the mix for even the most seasoned of raiders. So, if you're wanting to know how to complete the Escape From Tarkov Drug Trafficking quest, make sure to carry on reading down below.

The Escape From Tarkov Drug Trafficking quest is actually quite simple when you boil it down to the basics, it just suffers from the same difficulties as the Escape From Tarkov Corporate Secrets and Escape From Tarkov Energy Crisis quests. All you actually need to do is plant a Wi-Fi camera in the drug lab on the Lighthouse map, but the lab in question is sat right behind the Water Treatment Plant.

If you've ever ventured onto the Lighthouse map, you'll know that the Water Treatment Plant is a very dangerous area - especially for players who have unfortunately chosen the BEAR faction. Camped there are a number of USEC rogues, who are heavily armed and have pinpoint accuracy, waiting to take you out. Furthermore, the appeal of their high-value kits also draws fellow PMCs to the Plant too, meaning you'll have to potentially contend with fire from both sides.

Thankfully, there is a way you can largely avoid the danger of above, but that of course comes with its own difficulties too. Once you know the location of the drug lab though, it can be fairly easy to complete, it is just getting there in the first place that can prove tricky for inexperienced players.

As a reward for completing the quest, you'll be able to get your hands on the following:

  • 45,000 Roubles
  • 7,500 EXP
  • An increase of 0.03 to your Therapist rep
  • One Propital regenerative stimulant injector
  • One ETG-change regenerative stimulant injector
  • One Zagustin hemostatic drug injector

You'll also have to keep an eye out for the three parts of the new roaming 'Goon Squad' too, as they have a 15% chance of spawning on Lighthouse, and will most probably ruin your day if you run into them.

In order to complete the Escape From Tarkov Drug Trafficking quest, you'll want to head to the Train Yard situated behind the Water Treatment Plant. As mentioned, the rogues in the Plant can cause you a lot of trouble if you take them on directly, but carefully navigating the road around the western side of the plant should allow you to avoid them.

Additionally, waiting out the raid timer in a bush and hoping that someone else deals with them before you is also a good shout if you want to embrace the rat playstyle - you might even snag yourself a rogue loadout along the way too!

Once you've got the Train Yard, you'll want to head to the east side, to the right of the main train tracks in the middle. There will be a big stack of shopping containers, and you will be able to get behind the second row of them (between a green and blue container) to reveal an open door.

Head inside that open door to reveal the drug lab, which will be glowing neon purple, and littered with suspicious looking plants. You should be able to place the WiFi camera anywhere inside, but try and do it away from the door just in case someone else arrives at the same time. Also make sure to check the sofa and chair at the back of the lab, as they can have a chance to spawn high tier loose loot.

While you technically don't need to extract to complete the quest, you can either take the armoured train when it arrives in the Yard, or just head round to the Northern Checkpoint to make it out with any gear you have brought in with you.

One thing to note is that it is a good idea to bring the WiFi camera with you in either your secure container or one of the new special slots, which you can learn all about in our Escape From Tarkov compass not working guide. This saves you having to buy it again if you happen to die while questing, potentially saving you a lot of unnecessary spending in the future.

So, that's how to complete the Escape From Tarkov Drug Trafficking quest from Therapist, giving you all the locations and tips you'll need to get the WiFi camera planted. If you want to stay up to date with everything new to the game, don't miss the Escape From Tarkov 12.12.30 patch notes.
