The Valkyrie boss is one of the toughest challenges in God of War Ragnarok, and much like its predecessor, the game has plenty of side content intended to challenge players to their fullest.

The Valkyrie boss fights with Queen Gná is one of the absolute toughest in the game, only becoming available after you have finished the story.

Where can you find the Valkyrie Queen Gná?

As mentioned, this boss fight only becomes available after the end of the main story. Once you have completed it, head to the Crucible in Muspelheim. Head to the central area of the Crucible and find the Nornir chest there. When facing the chest, look to the right and you will see a path that leads to a camp.

Head to the camp, and you will see there is a notebook near the fire. Picking up the notebook makes Gná, Queen of the Valkyries appear suddenly. At this point, you might think the fight has immediately begun, but you actually have the opportunity to leave. If you are ready to face her, move forward to begin the boss fight.

How to beat the Valkyrie Queen Gná in God of War Ragnarok

Gná is easily one of the toughest fights in the game, if not flat-out the hardest. You will need to be as prepared as possible, ideally, you should be at the max level, and have all your equipment upgraded to the maximum. Once you begin the fight, take advantage of the fact that she will not attack you first by using runic summons and relic attacks straight off the bat.

Once you get into the fight, Gná is going to come at you with all kinds of attacks. Trial and error is your best friend here, you are going to need to see these attacks for yourself, learn them, and be ready for them. You should probably spend your first few attempts just watching what she does, and memorizing her moves.

You can parry a lot of her regular attacks, but some are easier to parry than others. She also has red-circle unblockable attacks, blue-circle attacks that must be interrupted with a shield bash, and attacks that can only be interrupted by either a Sonic or a Sigil arrow. There is a lot going on, which is why it is important to study her first.

Her other attacks that you need to be aware of are her Bifrost attacks and her flying attacks. Like many other difficult enemies in the game, Gná can hit you with Bifrost attacks, which cause a chunk of your health bar to turn blue.

If she hits you again, you will lose that blue portion, and a couple of those attacks will take you out in no time. The flying attack is fairly straightforward, if she flies into the air just be ready to dodge, as she will slam down into the ground where you are standing.

Beyond that, despite how difficult of a boss Gná is, the strategy is no different from other bosses. Avoid, parry, and interrupt her attacks, then do as much damage as you can in between. Swapping between your weapons for their various attacks is a good way to do this, but the method by which you damage her is really up to you.

Keep yourself alive, have a revive handy in case that first plan doesn't pan out, avoid her damage, and hit her with everything you've got.
