Atreus, the son of the powerful God of War Kratos, is learning more about himself as he ages further into his teenagehood. However, how old is the boy in this second adventure God of War Ragnarok and how much time has passed since he learned his true name is Loki? Find out below.

What Is Atreus' Age in God Of War Ragnarok?

In the first Norse era God of War title of 2018, Atreus is merely 11 years old, according to the official novel adaptation (via GameRant). He learned how to use his bow more proficiently, and Kratos eventually grew more respect for his son during their first journey. With that in mind, we do know that God of War Ragnarok takes place around three years after the events of his debut game. Do a little bit of math, and we know that Atreus is approximately 14 years old.

The age would make sense as well if you consider Atreus' actor Sunny Suljic. Christopher Judge (Kratos) and Suljic likely performed their roles around the middle of development, so Suljic was likely 14 to 16 years old during the process. He turned 17 in August, according to his IMDB page.

At 14 years old, Atreus is likely trying to find himself and discover who he really is. The mystery of Loki’s role in the upcoming conflict is something that Atreus cannot let go of," an official description of the game on IGDB says. "He wants to keep his family safe, but Atreus also doesn’t want to stand by and do nothing while conflict consumes the Nine Realms." PlayStation has in the past called Atreus "desperately curious" and "someone that wants to understand who he is more than anything."

God of War Ragnarok does seem to be a coming-of-age story, but will he be able to grow as a person in a world that's about to end?

Before the official release of the game, some accessed God of War Ragnarok early. Thanks to this, some malicious leaks have been released across the internet. Stay clear of them.
