It's time to burp because Morty is approaching the platform fighter crossover MultiVersus very soon. Both Rick and Morty will be separate characters you can play as in MultiVersus later this year. Here's when Morty releases before Rick, likely much to the chagrin of his grandfather.

When will Morty be available in MultiVersus?

Morty will be the first character to be released as a part of Season 1, which will begin on August 9. For those who are fans of Rick, don't worry, as he'll be released later in Season 1. No exact release date has been given for the scientist yet, but at least there will be a stage ready to go. It has floating head creatures called cromulons that roam across the sky below a giant disco ball. Rick & Morty is certainly a strange show.

Morty will have a range of weapons to choose from his move set, including grenade weapons and being able to whip himself towards opponents. The publisher WB Games claims that he will "have a mix of skills with an emphasis on projectiles and counter moves."

Meanwhile, Rick will be using his portal gun and have the ability to summon Meeseeks across the stage.

What other characters are in MultiVersus?

MultiVersus is graced by many different Warner Bros. franchises, including Shaggy and Velma from Scooby Doo, The Iron Giant, Game of Thrones' Arya Stark, Looney Tunes' Bugs Bunny, and even LeBron James from his appearance in Space Jam: A New Legacy.

The move sets are well-crafted, and the developers at Player First Games add a lot of detail to each character's design and animations.  It will be fascinating to see who's next, but a lot of the roster has supposedly been leaked.

This includes characters like The Joker, Gandalf, Harry Potter, Fred Flintstone, and Johnny Bravo, among others. Some data miners even claim there are hints toward Naruto and Ted Lasso are appearing in the game's roster at some point. We'll just have to wait and see if this is the case as WB Games announces these characters.
