MultiVersus Finn Guide: Overview
As a MultiVersus Assassin, Finn possesses the Glass Cannon passive ability, which makes him take an extra 14% from all hits compared to other fighters. However, his frailty is offset by his speed and high damage output. Though he is a Horizontal fighter without the best juggling tools, Finn can still kill opponents quite efficiently off the top or sides of the screen.
Finn’s other passive ability, Fat Stacks!, causes coins to drop every time he hits an opponent. By picking up these coins, Finn can power up his special moves. In addition, Finn can charge his grounded melee attacks while moving. These moves will only gain power if he moves along the ground during the charge animation.

MultiVersus Finn Guide: Specials
In MultiVersus, Finn’s neutral-special is called High Five, Dude! He charges up a powerful high-five that can reflect projectiles and even creates its projectile blast if Finn charges it up enough and uses it on an ally. Like his grounded normals, Finn can charge this attack while moving. If he lands the attack in mid-air, he will bounce off of the opponent he hits.
For his aerial side-special, Mathematical Air Dash!, Finn dashes forward and swings his sword, with a sweet spot hitbox at the tip of his sword. The attack travels farther and deals greater damage if he uses it to dash toward an enemy or coin.
On the ground, Finn’s side special is called Get Skronked! This shoulder bash attack not only does damage but can also reflect projectiles. And, while the regular attack has a good amount of end lag, Finn can immediately cancel out of it if he hits an opponent with it.

For his up-special, Backpack Attack!, Finn spins his backpack around to hit enemies. The final hit of this move hits harder if Finn has more coins, but he will also drop several coins upon connecting with this attack. The aerial version, Soaring Backpack Attack!, causes Finn to rise with upward momentum while spinning around.
Finn’s down-special also has different variants in the air and on the ground. In the air, it is called Throwin’ Stones! By spending some of his coins, he buys and throws a gem. When a gem is on the stage, both Finn’s grounded and aerial side-specials become a Mathematical Air Dash! that teleports him to the gem. If he doesn’t have any coins, Throwin’ Stones! will instead cause him to throw a weak apple core.
On the ground, Finn’s down-special is called Sweet Deals! Depending on how many coins he has collected, he can buy one of three different buffs. The metallic boots apply the Hasten buff, increasing his team’s movement speed, while the butt armour applies the Booty buff to grant him a projectile shield whenever he charges an attack. Finally, buying BMO allows him to do a powerful chop attack with his next down-special instead of shopping. If the Booty buff is active, the BMO chop will also produce a projectile shield around Finn and his teammate.
MultiVersus Finn Guide: Perks
Finn’s first signature perk, Going Out of Business, gives Finn a 200 coin discount on every item he can buy with his down-special after one of his allies gets knocked out. Whenever Finn is over 100%, this discount becomes permanent. Meanwhile, Finn’s second signature perk is called On the House! With it, he can automatically spawn a gem simply by connecting a fully charged ground attack.
Finn’s best Offense perk is Wildcat Brawler, which grants him a 5% damage buff on his grounded normal attacks. The Defense perk Stronger Than Ever gives him and his teammate armour for five seconds after they respawn. Finally, his recommended Utility perk, …in a Single Bound!, enables him to jump 10% faster.

MultiVersus Finn Guide: Combos
Finn’s down-air has a large downward-reaching hitbox and can knock opponents off the ground and into the air, making it a viable combo starter. Afterwards, he can string together a mix of neutral-airs and up-airs, and even try to loop in another down-air to keep the combo going.
In addition, Finn’s aerial up-special is one of his strongest and most reliable kill moves, especially if he has collected several coins. To get his opponents above him, Finn can try to anti-air them with a charged grounded up-normal, before comboing some up-airs into an up-special finisher.
