Destiny 2 Rain of Fire is a new Warlock exotic that has become extremely valuable in the current game. Destiny 2 is a live game, with things constantly shifting and changing. What is powerful one month might not be the next, but this is a build that is likely to be gold for good. This is how to get and how best to use the Destiny 2 Rain of Fire.
- Is a third Darkness subclass on the way? We discuss this along with some rumours in our Destiny 2 poison subclass guide.
Destiny 2 Rain of Fire: How To Get
As is the case with all new exotic armour, you need to take on the Destiny 2 Lost Sectors. Every day, a different Lost Sector is designated for the Legend and Master difficulty challenge. These Lost Sectors must be completed solo for a chance to drop a piece of exotic armour. You need to check the Lost Sector on the map screen to see what kind of armour is available.
To get yourself the Rain of Fire, you need a day where the Lost Sector is dropping leg armour. When it is, complete the Lost Sector by yourself. There are plenty of guides online, and specifically on this website for each of the potential Lost Sectors it could be. It may take several attempts, you are not guaranteed an exotic drop every time, so maybe put on a movie or a podcast and get stuck in. Provided there aren't too many exotic boots you haven't yet acquired, this shouldn't take too long.

Destiny 2 Rain of Fire: How To Use
On paper, Rain of Fire doesn't sound overly special. It has three primary effects, it causes the Icarus Dash to reload all equipped weapons, it makes fusion rifle kills grant Radiance for a few seconds, and it increases the effectiveness of fusion rifles while airborne. While the Icarus Dash reloads are generally very useful, the fusion rifle perks are very specific.
This is one of those cases where an exotic armour piece seems to be planned for a very specific weapon, in this case the Vex Mythoclast. While the Mythoclast is a powerful weapon in any context, when paired with the Rain of Fire you can do some serious damage.
Equip both, then take to the skies. Getting a kill will grant Radiance, which will increase your damage. If you have the Vex Mythoclast catalyst, you can get even more damage and stability out of it. Use your grenades with Heat Rises to stay in the air for much longer, and get far more bang for your buck. Do all of these things, and you will become a demon in the Crucible.
That is everything you need to know about the Destiny 2 Rain of Fire Warlock exotic. For more on the game check out our Destiny 2 Chromatic Fire Warlock exotic guide.
