Destiny 2 Synthweave is not working correctly at this current time. Destiny 2 features a system by which players can use Synthweave items to turn any piece of previously acquired armour into an ornament, a cosmetic item that can be applied to any other armour of the same type. Currently, that system is not working as intended, but there seems to be a way to work around that. Here is everything you need to know about Destiny 2 Synthweave not working.

Destiny 2 Synthweave Not Working: How To Fix
It seems the solution to this problem is to go back to the old ways. By going to the individual armour pages, players can still create and apply ornaments. It is a bit more awkward to do, but it still works. For now, it seems players will have to do all their armour customisation the old fashioned way.
Some players are also reporting that they have managed to create ornaments simply by holding the button for longer than typically required. If you go to create an ornament and hold the button down, the progress meter will fill up, but the issue is the ornament is not created when the meter fills. Seemingly, holding the button down for a few seconds longer than the meter suggests might still work in creating your ornament.
Bungie is aware of this issue and is no doubt working hard to get it resolved. In the meantime, you can use these methods to continue creating armour ornaments for your Guardians. Fashion is the most important part of the game, after all.
Destiny 2 Synthweave: What Isn’t Working
When you open your character menu in Destiny 2, you can scroll down to the appearance customisation menu. This is a relatively new feature, added to the game last year. This menu functions as a one-stop shop for all your armour customisation needs. From here you can change the look and colour of each of your armour pieces.
Seemingly, players who attempt to use Synthweave in this menu are not getting any results. You can choose a piece of previously acquired gear to turn into an armour ornament, and normally you can spend some Synthweave to make that happen. However, this system is currently bugged out, and not letting players create new ornaments.
- Finding the chests is only half the battle, you still need to get those Destiny 2 Opulent Keys.
