The new Destiny 2 dungeon Spire of the Watcher is fast approaching, and as expected we know little about it so far. Destiny 2 releases new raids and dungeons without giving away many details, allowing players to figure things out. Spire of the Watcher is the title of the new dungeon, which is the most concrete detail we have. Here is everything we know about the new Destiny 2 dungeon, Spire of the Watcher.

As mentioned, we have very few fully confirmed details. First and foremost, we can at least confirm the release date. Spire of the Watcher will be out on December 9th, the first Friday of the season. Also of course, we know the name of the dungeon. From the name, as well as some other things, we can determine a few more details.

We know that the enemies of the dungeon are the Vex, according to the details revealed in the game. We also have some clues suggesting where the dungeon might take place. Many of the promotional images for the season show Guardians in space, and since the season began, several strange orbs resembling Braytech from the Deep Stone Crypt have been spotted throughout the game.

We do know based on the art for the dungeon that there will be a link to Rasputin, as his symbol appears there. This ties in nicely with the current season, and also lends credence to a possible space or orbital facility being the location. Spire of the Watcher absolutely sounds like it could be some kind of orbital platform like the DSC. Will the new dungeon be a spacewalk similar to that? Or maybe it is more literal, and it takes place in just a really big tower. We will have to wait and see.

Destiny 2 New Dungeon: Armour And Weapons

We have only a few more solid details regarding the gear we might be getting from this new dungeon. What we can say for sure, is that there will a new set of armour for each class to be earned from the dungeon. Early info suggested that the armour would be related to Tex Mechanica, a foundry known for its more rustic weaponry.

Further details about those armour sets have been leaked, and fans are quite excited. Seemingly, each of the sets will include cowboy hats for our Guardians. The hats will be part of the helmets for Warlocks and Titans, whereas Hunters will get the hat as part of their cloak.

Something we know very little about is the supposed exotic bow that comes with the dungeon. The bow is called Hierarchy of Needs, and it is not confirmed but it seems that this new exotic weapon is tied to the dungeon. What it does or how to get it are still a complete mystery, but it is certainly something to look out for once the dungeon unlocks.

That is everything we currently know about the Destiny 2 new dungeon, the Spire of the Watcher. For more on the game, check out our guide to the Destiny 2 Lightfall release date, trailers, and more.
