To those of you wondering what the Fateful Spin Triumph Destiny 2 even is, Triumphs are a form of challenge introduced to each event or campaign as part of the game. It is a way for players to show off their earnings and commitment through time-specific or activity specific rewards. These can range from Hive kills to seasonal ranks and strike completions, and are a way of rewarding players that really dig into the game.

The Fateful Spin Triumph Destiny 2 is a challenge specific to the 30th Anniversary event, and is key to unlocking the Destiny 2 Thy Fearful Symmetry armour ornament, so be sure to check out our more in depth guide for that. This challenge requires that you face each of the Wheel of Adversity's challenges in Dares of Eternity on Legend difficulty. The challenges are as follows:

  • Mines defused
  • Crystals shattered
  • Minotaurs defeated
  • Commanders defeated
  • Blight destroyed

Each of these are linked to a specific enemy faction, whether those be Fallen, Taken, Cabal, Hive or Vex.

The Fateful Spin Triumph Destiny 2 challenge is the most difficult challenge to come out of the 30th Anniversary event, as it will take at least three weeks to complete. That doesn't mean three full weeks of playing, but instead you can knock out two of the five challenges within the Fateful Spin Triumph in a legendary run, but there is a weekly rotation. Check out our guide on when is the Destiny 2 weekly reset time so you have a better idea of your timescale. It isn't just the time issues however, you will also need to get yourself up to light level 1320 to take part, so ensure that you come at Dares of Eternity with a kitted out and coordinated fireteam.

Outside of these parameters, all you have to do is take part in the legendary Dares of Eternity and play each week. With two wheelspins in each run, as mentioned, you should come across two different challenges. To access the Legendary difficulty, just select Dares of Eternity in Eternity and select "Normal 1150" and change that to "Legend 1320". This will lock equipment and put a harsh emphasis on elemental damage so be sure that you are clued up on all of those.

That's everything you need to know to complete the Fateful Spin Triumph Destiny 2 challenge. While the 30th Anniversary event is still running, be sure to check out our guide on the Destiny 2 Magnum Opus exotic quest.
