V Rising Quincey the Bandit King is one of the most powerful bosses in Farbane Woods. V Rising starts you off in this region, and working your way up to Quincey should be one of your main objectives. However, there are some extra steps involved in accessing this boss fight. Here is everything you need to know about finding and fighting V Rising Quincey the Bandit King.

Where is Quincey the Bandit King?

Quincey the Bandit King is located at the Bandit Stronghold, in the center of northern Farbane Woods. Unfortunately, that information alone is not enough to get you into the boss fight. The gates to the stronghold are locked and need to be destroyed. To do so, you need to go fight a different boss altogether. Now, you might get lucky and someone else on your server might open the way for you, but if not you will have to follow these steps to do it yourself.

First, you need to head west. In this far corner of the Farbane Woods, you will find the Bandit Sulphur Quarry. Sulphur is a necessary ingredient for the explosives we need, so be sure to grab plenty of it. However, you still need the recipe for creating explosives. To get it, you need to defeat Clive the Firestarter.

This boss is level 30 and, conveniently, appears in the Bandit Sulphur Mine. This guy isn’t too difficult, just avoid his bombs and you should be fine. He is level 30, so if you are going for Quincey who is level 37, you should be okay here. Once you defeat Clive, use the recipe to craft an explosive box.

Alternatively, you can track down and defeat the Ferocious Bear. This will unlock the bear form, which you can also use to smash through the front gate. Ferocious Bear is a tougher boss at level 36, so you have to factor that in. If you would like to go this way, you need to head to the Bear Cave over at the eastern end of Farbane Woods.

Regardless of the method you choose, head to the Bandit Stronghold and break down that gate. Once inside, you will have to work your way through a decent amount of enemies, so make sure you go in around dusk to give yourself plenty of time. Fight through the enemies and you will find Quincey at the top of the stronghold.

The fight with Quincey is pretty straightforward. When you enter the arena, he will have two minions with him. It is advisable to get rid of the extras first as they can cause issues, particularly the trappers who can catch you in a net. Once they are gone, you can focus on Quincey. He can resummon his allies, but he doesn’t seem to do that often.

Quincey himself only has a couple of attacks to be concerned with. He is very aggressive, and he will consistently chase after you to hit you with regular swings. His special moves are a shield block, a ground smash, and a dash attack. The shield block isn’t much to worry about, when you see his shield glow red you know not to attack him. The ground smash sends out cracks in crooked lines, that explode up a few seconds later, so be sure to stay well away.

His dash attack is a bit more of a problem, but not hard to avoid. You will see him clearly gearing up to dash at you, so be ready to dodge out of the way. His biggest attack is a triple dash, after which he is stunned for a short while.

Between his overbearing presence and his dash attacks, the main thing you need to do with Quincey is to stay on your toes. Keep moving, time your dodges well, attack when you get an opening, and you should have absolutely no issue taking him down. Once defeated, you will be able to craft iron weapons and move on with the game.
