If you're like me, you might have spotted plenty of players wandering around Helldivers 2 adorning the coveted Super Citizen status - but what exactly does it mean, and how can you get it for yourself?

Helldivers 2 has rocked cooperative gaming by storm, with the squad-based shooter launching to acclaim and hugh player numbers on both PC and PlayStation. While the core of the game revolves around killing a tonne of enemies on the surfaces of various planets, customisation also plays a key role.

From the armour you wear to the interior of your spaceship, and even your visible title - there are lots of things you can tailor to your own liking. So, check out how being a Super Citizen ties into all of this.

What is Super Citizen status?

The Super Citizen title in Helldivers 2 just denotes players who have purchased the Super Citizen edition of the game; it offers no extra benefits except for clout.

This is essentially just the special edition of the game, with it rewarding you the exclusive title, in addition to an armour set, cape, weapons, stratagem, and the Premium Warbond.

How to get Super Citizen status

If you didn't purchase this version of the game initially, you can still purchase it as a separate upgrade on both Steam and PlayStation for £15/$20/€20.

This will instantly give you access to the content highlighted above, including the Super Citizen title.

To equip your very own Super Citizen title in the game, follow these steps:

  • Head aboard your ship
  • Navigate to the 'Armory'
  • Select 'Character'
  • Switch to the 'Title' tab on the right
  • Select your desired title
