Where to find Bile Spewers & defeat them in Helldivers 2

Bile Spewers are among some of the most disgusting and annoying enemies you’ll face in Helldivers 2, but it's your duty to spread democracy and eliminate them. Here's how.

Where to find Bile Spewers in Helldivers 2

You’ll find Bile Spewers on any Terminid-infested planet (usually on the right side of the galactic map) at any difficulty above and including Medium. Certain types of foes, such as massive or armoured, only spawn at and above specific difficulties, so if you’re not playing on at least Medium, you’ll never spot a single Bile Spewer.

The good (and bad) news is, once you meet those two above criteria, you’ll have no trouble finding the Bile Spewers as they’ll come to you. You can spot them because they look like ticks – they have relatively small faces and large, bloated rear ends. Also, they’ll be shooting huge globs of acid at you, so be careful, patriot.

They often spawn as part of a Bug Breach or lead patrols across the map, so keep your wits about you and give them a taste of liberty whenever you spot them.

How to defeat Bile Spewers

Fortunately, Bile Spewers are easy to kill from afar. Their fronts are armoured, so you’ll be better off aiming at their large bodies. Any small arms fire can put them down, but using a grenade launcher or calling in some strategems will kill them even faster.

At all costs, avoid being directly in front of them. Not only will your shots be less effective due to their armour, but you’ll be in range of their devastating acid attack. It hits surprisingly hard and one stream of the sticky stuff can kill you from full health. If you do find yourself backed into a corner with no way to get around a Bile Spewer, throw grenades at it and shoot above its head to hit its body.

The best type of armour to wear against these things is Light, as you’ll want to be able to quickly maneuver around it. Heavy might offer some more protection, but the sacrifice in mobility really isn’t worth it against Bile Spewers.
