Helldivers 2 Major Order status tracking issue explained & how to fix it

Helldivers 2 is a live service game with a fair share of bugs and issues that players have encountered while playing it. One of those issues that I and other players have recently started experiencing in the game is the Major Order status issue associated with progress tracking.

If you are getting the wrong Liberation% status while playing Helldivers 2, here's why the issue comes about and what you can do to fix it.

In Helldivers 2 Major Order status issue, at the end of missions, players get the message that the respective planet or sector was 100% liberated. However, when they check the mission board on the ship, the status is different and mostly incomplete.

The issue began a few weeks ago when the new Major Order arrived, and players were tasked with Liberating Fori and Zagon Prime. To reach Fori Prime, you must liberate Estanu, and upon doing so, players started getting the wrong status message that the Liberation percentage was 100, while in reality, it was not.

The Major Order Liberation status issue was from the developers' end, and you can fix it by installing the latest version of the game. 

On March 21, Arrowhead Studios Community Lead, aka Baskinator, took it to the official Discord to share a message from the Game Master on the issue. It read, "We're aware of an issue with the Galactic War not tracking your effective spread of Liberty properly. We are investigating this urgently and will keep you posted as soon as we understand the issue and have a fix to communicate to you. Thanks very much for your patience while we squash some software bugs."

While there are no follow-ups on the message, at the time of writing, with the latest update installed, the Major Order progress is working fine, and I didn't find any bug or glitch related to it. 

So, make sure your game is updated, and if you still encounter the issue, restart Helldivers 2. That should fix it. However, if it persists, we recommend raising a support ticket.
