Destiny 2 is a game that claims a lot of the time of the most dedicated fans. Time played in a game like this is always an interesting thing to learn or a frightening one. Here is how to view your time played in the game.
How to view time played on individual platforms
Depending on your platform of choice, there are different ways to check your playtime. PC players using Steam need only to look at the Destiny 2 page in their library in order to see how many hours they have put into the game there.
For PlayStation 4/5 players, you need to go to your Profile. Press R1 to go across to the Games tab, where you will find a list of games played. Scroll down until you find Destiny 2, and you should see your hours played on the right, beneath your trophy progress.
Xbox players can find game time by pressing the Xbox button to bring up the guide menu, and then going across to the Game Activity tab. If your most recently played game is Destiny 2, you can choose Stats to see your game time. If not, choose All Achievements, then find Destiny 2 on your list of games. Select it, then go to the Stats page to see your played time.
How to check your time played on all platforms at once
Destiny has been around for a long time now, there have been two whole games and many players have moved around through the various platforms. Many of us have our time and progress spread out over several consoles and platforms, making it difficult to get an idea of the total time played.
Luckily, there is a resource we can use to learn more. The fittingly named wastedondestiny.com tells you just how much of your life you have "wasted" on Destiny over the years. To see your game time, the site will require you to connect to your Bungie account.
Your Bungie account needs to be linked to every platform account that you have used to play Destiny on. It can be a bit of a process if you have not yet set this up, you just need to sign into your Steam, Xbox, and/or PlayStation accounts when prompted to link them to your Bungie account.
Doing so will allow the Time Wasted on Destiny website to show you your time spent on each platform, for both Destiny and Destiny 2. We hope this information isn't worrying for you, it certainly was for us.
