Destiny 2 Metamorphosis Lost Sector sends players underground in Savathun's Throne World. Destiny 2 regularly releases new exotic armour, and tasks players with tackling harder difficulty Lost Sectors to unlock them. Metamorphosis, along with the other Throne World Lost Sectors, have joined the rotation of Master and Legend challenges. Here is what you need to know to complete the Destiny 2 Metamorphosis Lost Sector on Master or Legend difficulty.

Where is the Metamorphosis Lost Sector?

As mentioned, this Lost Sector was added alongside the Witch Queen expansion. As such, the Metamorphosis Lost Sector can be found in Savathun’s Throne World. To get to it, load in at the starting location in Quagmire. From there, head north to the Miasma region. The entrance to the lost sector is among the Hive ruins. In what is left of a large room with stairs leading up to a large door, you should find the entrance to the right of that room.

If the Lost Sector is currently the Legend or Master difficulty Lost Sector then it should be easy to spot, it will be on your map and you can mark it to find it easily. The large flag outside will help, but if not you should see the Lost Sector logo on the left wall.

What is the Master/Legend Difficulty for Lost Sectors

Master and Legend difficulty Lost Sectors are endgame challenges for players with very powerful equipment. Legend difficulty has a recommended power level of 1550, while Master difficulty is at a massive 1580. Metamorphosis has appeared a couple of times as a Legend Lost Sector, making it a good way for players to try and farm up some of those exotics.

There are enemies with Arc and Solar shields, and the burn is Arc so be sure to bring weapons of those types. Also, be prepared for Overload and Unstoppable champions. This Lost Sector features mostly Scorn enemies, but there are some Hive in there as well. The Unstoppable Scorn Abominations are particularly brutal, so be sure to tackle them as quickly as you can.

Tips for clearing the Metamorphosis Lost Sector

Metamorphosis is a fairly cramped and short Lost Sector. It consists mainly of three rooms, within each of which you will be fighting at close range. The first room will have a lot of Scorn grunts coming at you in large numbers, along with an Overload Chieftain. SMGs are ideal for this range, but also bring grenades and rockets as the enemies will be mostly bunched up. At the back of this room is a Hive Knight with an invincible shield. Break the shards in the air around him to break his shield and take him down.

The second room is quite similar to the first room but even more cramped. Keep your distance as much as you can, as there are Screeb here that will explode when they get close. Focus on taking down the Unstoppable Abomination, make good use of cover to avoid it while you do so. Defeat the Scorn as you go and again you will find an invincible Hive Knight. Break the rocks, kill the Knight.

Now head down into the boss room, which is a square walkway around a floating pyramid. The boss will spawn along with a bunch of Scorn, including an Unstoppable Abomination. Get rid of the ads and the Abomination, then focus on the boss. It has an unbreakable shield like the Knights upstairs, so destroy the floating rocks to release the shield and start hitting the boss. You can kill the boss if you hit it with enough damage quickly, but if you take too long the shield will return and you will have to repeat the process. A Hunter using Moebius Quiver can easily destroy this boss in a single rotation, but any big source of boss damage is good here.
