Destiny 2 Gyrfalcon's Hauberk is an exotic Hunter armour that had a troubled start, but has recently risen to prominence. Destiny 2 fans have been clamouring for this exotic chest piece since the recent update that made it extremely powerful. Gyrfalcon's Hauberk turns Void Hunters into the ultimate stealth assassins. Here is everything you need to know about the Destiny 2 Gyrfalcon's Hauberk exotic armour.

The exotic perk of Gyrfalcon's Hauberk is called See Me, Feel Me. The perk activates when you actively emerge from invisibility. When you do, your void weapons gain volatile rounds. Also, using a finisher while invisible grants bonus damage to all your weapons and a reserve overshield to you and any nearby allies.

By itself, this exotic chest armour doesn't do too much. When paired with the right fragments and aspects, it becomes a top-tier item. First, we need the Stylish Executioner aspect. This aspect grants invisibility upon defeating weakened, suppressed or volatile enemies. Just this aspect paired with the Gyrfalcon's Hauberk creates a loop where we can go invisible, defeat an enemy with volatile rounds, become invisible again, and repeat.

With just that, we are doing massive damage and can consistently turn invisible. Then we can add more ways to turn invisible, like the Vanishing Step aspect that turns us invisible by dodging, and a fragment to turn invisible from finishers. Beyond that, you really just need to load up with your favourite Void weapons and you can become nearly unstoppable.

As with all newer exotic armours, the means for getting the Gyrfalcon's Hauberk is through completing Lost Sectors by yourself on Legend or Master difficulty. Our Destiny 2 Lost Sectors guide has the full details, and essentially you need to take on the right Lost Sector at the right time.

Each day, a Lost Sector will be designated as the Legend/Master Lost Sector. You can check your map to find the currently active Legend/Master Lost Sector, or better still look it up online to know exactly where you're going. The daily Lost Sector only rewards one kind of armour, be it helmets, chest, legs or arms. If you are trying to get Gyrfalcon's Hauberk, you need to wait for a day when chest armour is available.

Once you have a chest armour Lost Sector available, you simply need to throw yourself at it. If you are under levelled they can be quite difficult, so be sure to do your research and go in prepared. We have guides for each individual lost sector here at GGRecon, which will tell you exactly what modifiers and damage types are applicable to each Lost Sector.

Unfortunately, completing the Lost Sector does not guarantee an exotic armour drop. The chances are good, but it may take a few tries. You are guaranteed a piece of armour you do not already have, so while you are likely to get the one you want, you might end up picking up a few other new pieces first, which isn't so bad. Keep trying, and the Gyrfalcon's Hauberk will drop eventually for you.

That is it for our guide on the Destiny 2 Gyrfalcon's Hauberk. For more on the game, check out our Destiny 2 The Manticore breakdown.
