Who voices the Flower in Super Mario Bros Wonder?

Throughout your time in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, you may notice that there is a Flower talking to you. In a fairly uncharacteristic move for a Mario title, this Flower is voice-acted all the way through the game, and you may or may not recognise the voice that gives you pep talks. If that’s the case, keep reading to find out more about the voice actor of this fabulous Flower.
There are plenty of levels and worlds to explore in Super Mario Wonder, and the Flower is there across the levels to talk to you and guide you through the level, as well as give you a pep in your step every now and again.

Who voices the Flower in Super Mario Bros. Wonder?
Click to enlargeThe voice actor for this Flower is Mick Wingert. Wingert has voice-acted in a lot of famous roles, such as Master Po in the Kung Fu Panda TV series spin-off, as well as the games. More recently, he also voiced Max in Dead Island 2 and Il Dottore in Genshin Impact.
His voice will be heard throughout the game, as the Flower sometimes gives you hints or tips on how to progress in a certain part of the game.
While Mario games do always include voice actors, it's rare that they ever speak in full sentences. Usually, we're met with grunts and exclaims from the likes of Mario and his accomplices. However, Nintendo has decided to give the flowers fully voiced lines in Mario Wonder, and we think it's for the best - Wingert brings a fantastic sense of personality to the game.
Wingert isn't the only voice actor that's new to the Mario scene, too. Following Charles Martinet's departure from the iconic role of Mario, this is also the first game to feature Kevin Afghani as the new voice of the plumber. The difference is subtle, but keep an ear out for it and you'll most certainly hear the difference!
