How to unlock all Special World levels in Super Mario Bros Wonder
The Special World is a secret series of levels hidden within Super Mario Bros Wonder. Each normal World has a secret pathway somewhere in it that leads you to a level in the Special World.
I had a lot of fun finding the Special World levels and completing them - some of them are pretty challenging but it has some of the best levels in the game, too. So without further ado, here's how to unlock them all.
World 1 - Pipe-Rock Plateau
To find the Special World level for World 1, head to the Bulrush Express level. You'll need to be in Elephant form for this, which means you'll have to survive the whole level without getting hit unless you have a back-up power-up to use.
At the end of the level, right before you pick up the Wonder Seed, you should see some bricks to your right. Smash through these with your Elephant powers and you'll see a new exit that will lead you to the Special World level for World 1.
World 2 - Fluff-Puff Peaks
In the World 2 level Jump Jump Jump!, complete the level normally and then head back in for a second go. This time though, just jump off the edge immediately and you'll fall down to a new area.
This area will lead you to another level in Fluff-Puff Peaks, but if you just keep going on that path you'll find the exit to go to the Special World level for World 2. This level can be very difficult though, so I hope you've got your timing down!
World 3 - Shining Falls
Finding World 3's Special World level isn't very hard. All you have to do is beat the world normally then head back to the Royal Seed Mansion again after going there the first time.
The Master Poplin will be impressed with you coming back for more trials, and he'll open the way to the next Special World level!
World 4 - Sunbaked Desert
To unlock the Special World level for World 4, you'll need to head to Secrets of Shova Mansion.
Once inside the mansion, progress through the level normally until you reach the area pictured above with the green block. You'll need to ground pound the bricks near it then push the green block into that new slot.
This will open up a new pipe that will transport you to the foreground of the level. Just keep going until you reach another pipe and this will lead you to the secret exit (and the Special World level).
World 5 - Fungi Mines
Just like World 3, you don't need to do anything fancy for this Special World level. Head back to the Operation Poplin Rescue level and go through it like you normally would.
You'll learn that the Poplins have become trapped once again, but this time you'll unlock the way to the next Special World level for saving them.
World 6 - Deep Magma Bog
This might be the most difficult Special World level to unlock, but only because it takes a while to get all the Wonder Seeds you need.
To unlock Deep Magma Bog's level, you need 25 Wonder Seeds from any levels within the bog. Then, head towards the bottom left of the map and progress through it until you find the level locked behind the 25 Wonder Seed total.
Beat that level as well as the levels after it and you'll eventually find the way to the Special World level for World 6.
Petal Isles + Special World
The rest of the Special World levels don't require any secret exits or unusual tasks. All you have to do to unlock the Petal Isles level is complete the level Spelunking! featuring Wiggler. Once you've done the level you'll unlock the way to the next Special World level.
There's also a couple extra Special World levels inside the Special World itself. You can unlock these by completing other Special World levels and finding the Wonder Seeds within them.
And that's all you need to know about unlocking Special World levels in Super Mario Bros Wonder!
