The Path of the Cricket specialises in a more balanced Combat Style amongst the Lies of P starting classes - boasting both strength and dexterity. It will start you with the Puppet's Blade weapon.

By distributing its stats relatively evenly, the Path of the Cricket will be good for quality builds that will allow players to utilise several weapons and abilities.

However, being a jack-of-all-trades runs the risk of being a master of none. While balance may seem optimal for using a large array of weapons and techniques, it also means that they are not as powerful as they could be without specialist consideration.

The stat distribution for the Path of the Cricket is as follows:

Stat

Level

Vitality (HP)

9 (283)

Vigor (Stamina)

7 (109)

Capacity (Guard Regain)

8 (55)

Motivity (Weight Limit)

9 (64.2)

Technique (Physical ATK)

9 (110)

Advance (Physical DEF)

7 (78)

The Path of the Bastard class focuses on a fast dexterity-based Combat Style in Lies of P. With high stamina, there is plenty of time to get a flurry of attacks in, even if it means not having as high a health bar. It will start you with the Wintry Rapier weapon.

However, what the Path of the Bastard lacks in defence, it makes up for in speed. Being quick on your feet can knock a great many foes off guard, especially when it comes to dodging away from strong, lumbering attacks.

This starting class may be handy when dealing with human-sized enemies and bosses like the Mad Donkey

The stat distribution for the Path of the Bastard is as follows:

Stat

Level

Vitality (HP)

8 (262)

Vigor (Stamina)

12 (134)

Capacity (Guard Regain)

7 (50)

Motivity (Weight Limit)

5 (61.2)

Technique (Physical ATK)

11 (99)

Advance (Physical DEF)

The Path of the Sweeper is a strength-based Combat Style in Lies of P. With its focus on having high Vitality and power, P in this class will be able to take out enemies in a series of punishing blows. It will start you with the Greatsword of Fate weapon.

However, despite its offensive capabilities, the Path of the Sweeper sorely lacks stamina. Meaning, that while your attacks may do some serious damage, they can only be used sparingly before needing to catch your breath.

If you're fighting hulking enemies like the Parade Master this starting class will certainly deal some serious damage.

The stat distribution for the Path of the Sweeper is as follows:

Stat

Level

Vitality (HP)

11 (323)

Vigor (Stamina)

5 (96)

Capacity (Guard Regain)

Motivity (Weight Limit)

Technique (Physical ATK)

5 (123)

Advance (Physical DEF)

While choosing a starting class is dependent on your individual playstyle, the best starting class for newcomers to Lies of P is The Path of the Cricket.

With its even distribution of stats, The Path of the Cricket will allow you to use several weapons and abilities that putting all your eggs in one basket (or one starting class) wouldn't allow. So while you may not be the most powerful, you certainly won't be underpowered.

That's everything you need to choose your perfect starting class in Lies of P. With your knowledge of these starting classes, you'll be able to take on bosses like the Scrapped Watchman in no time.
