By now, we're sure most of you have spread your Web Wings and soared across the New York City skyline for Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Insomniac's sequel to the 2018 opus is finally here, with some boldly declaring it's the best superhero game of all time.

With a bigger map, more villains, and two Spider-Men to play as, Spider-Man 2 is putting the "amazing" in Amazing Spider-Man. Plenty has changed in the five years between sequels, but just like 2020's Miles Morales spin-off, there's a touching tribute to Chadwick Boseman and the fallen Black Panther.

Spider-Man 2 has a tribute to Chadwick Boseman

Known for his roles in the likes of 42 and Get on Up, Boseman is largely remembered for his portrayal of T'Challa in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. First appearing in Captain America: Civil War, Boseman went on to play the titular Black Panther in 2018's movie, as well as Avengers: Endgame/Infinity War.

Sadly, Boseman passed away from colon cancer in 2020 - aged just 43. Boseman had kept his condition private, meaning his death came as a shock to most. It also led to a massive rejigging of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, with Letitia Wright's Shuri taking over the hero's mantle.

In Spider-Man 2, there's a touching tribute found to Boseman at the Wakandan Embassy. The building appeared in the first game, and if you visit it while playing as Miles, you'll be offered the prompt to "honour." By pressing triangle, Miles will do the iconic "Wakanda forever" salute with his arms across his chest.

The Wakanda salute is a fitting tribute to Boseman, which continues the actor's legacy long after his passing. Although the first game released before Boseman's condition was known, Insomniac found a way to honour him by renaming the street the Wakandan Embassy is on as Boseman Way.

Spider-Man 2 has another Black Panther nod, with one of Mile's unlockable outfits being the Forever Suit. There are some weird and wonderful suits in Spider-Man 2, with the likes of Peter's Spider-Man Noir and Miles' Mysterio-inspired Smoke and Mirrors Suit. If you want to go all out, you can unlock the Forever Suit.

Dressing the part to honour Black Panther, Miles' Forever Suit can be unlocked at Level 25. The base suit will cost you 55 Tech Parts and two Rare Tech Parts, while the various styles unlock with 5 Tech Parts and one Rare Tech Part. Now, get out there and save the city.
