We’ve had Spider-Man 2 in our hands for a little while now, and fans clearly aren’t listening to the Xbox fans on Twitter trying to drag them down into the pits - they’re loving it.

We could have seen it coming, to be honest, as the series proved its chops with the first game - but now, a spin-off and full sequel later, we can say for certain that Insomniac Games has offered players the ultimate Spider-Man experience.

There are plenty of sneaky references to the wider Marvel world in the game, too, hinting that Insomniac’s Wolverine game could be a part of the world of their grandest superhero series, as well as nods to the likes of Black Panther, Fantastic Four and the Avengers themselves.

But a new hint could be pointing towards the appearance of the best fighter in Hell’s Kitchen.

Daredevil DLC hinted by Spider-Man 2 Easter Egg

A new teaser has been discovered in Spider-Man 2 that could be hinting towards the appearance of Matt Murdock himself.

Twitter user and content creator Caboose has shared on Twitter a clip of them investigating an easter egg that fans had pointed out to them - and it’s compelling evidence that Daredevil exists in this version of New York.

Down a fairly inconspicuous alley waits a ground-floor room that appears to bear the mark of The Hand, the group of Ninjas that appear as antagonists to Murdock - indicating that they could yet make an appearance in the game. And who would be the right character to appear to help fight them off?

Players have taken this to mean that we could be getting a new DLC pack akin to the first game’s Black Cat-themed pack - but we’ll have to wait and see if it comes to life.

But there are other hints that Murdock is somewhere out there.

Fans should “stay tuned” for Daredevil news in Spider-Man 2

Fans have pointed out that the location for Nelson & Murdock’s legal firm has changed since its appearance in the first game, with the plaque that indicates its existence being wiped clean - but it seems that it’s been done on purpose.

When asked by IGN about why this has happened, Insomniac’s senior creative director Bryan Intihar said “That’s a good question. Stay tuned. Good find, though.

Do with that information what you will, but it seems to be good news for fans of the man without fear. It looks like Murdock isn’t finished yet.
