Does Warframe Have Crossplay?

A Warframe crossplay system has been a long-requested feature for this free-to-play third-person shooter since its launch way back in 2013, and with a wide playerbase across multiple consoles, it's no surprise it's so sought after. Warframe is a game that's best experienced with other players across its many modes, so if you need to know whether there is a Warframe crossplay feature, we've got you covered. 

Does Warframe Have Crossplay?

Currently, there is no crossplay feature in Warframe, but it's consistently been the community's biggest request, leading to the developers announcing it during the 2021 TennoCon, which is an annual Warframe event. This also the case for a cross-save feature, which would allow players to keep their account and progress across Warframe on any platform. 

The developers have confirmed that both of these features are set to be part of the game in 2022, but there is no concrete release date for it yet. The latest update about this came in January where Digital Extremes said it was their biggest priority, but we've heard nothing on that front since. We are also unsure about what form the crossplay system will take, as they've not announced which platforms will be able to play together specifically. 

We can assume they will allow for both the PC, mobile, and console playerbase to join up, but with an option of toggling who to play with like other games. For PvE content this won't be as important, but PvP players would benefit from the option to restrict their opponents to just controller or keyboard and mouse.
