Tower of Fantasy Vera 2.0 Update: Gameplay Teaser Trailer
From the teaser trailer provided at the GameSpot Swipe, we can see that Tower of Fantasy is finally embracing more of a sci-fi setting, a possible attempt to separate itself from its Genshin Impact comparisons. Until now, apart from guns and bikes, most Tower of Fantasy maps have been set in typical fantasy settings.
With the new pyramid-shaped Cyberpunk City in the skies set on the new Vera map, the game will include trains, hover cars and urban city settings with a focus on modern-meets-fantasy. The main city, named Mirroria, is set within a desert landscape with transportation seeming like a necessity between city hubs, suggesting the map will be of substantial size.
The teaser trailer also features bars, luminescent advertisements, tourist centres, taxi ranks, museums, and other classic areas you would expect of a cityscape.
The image featured by Gamespot Swipe also seems to include a robotic deer, reminiscent of machinery from Horizon Zero Dawn. Although fans have been quick to hope that the animal featured will be a new robotic mount, others have suggested the more probable theory that it is a new world boss, based on similar robotic archetypes in the game.
