PAYDAY 3 Dirty Ice Vault: How to open & all rewards

Opening the Dirty Ice Vault in PAYDAY 3 is no simple task. While unlocking this particular vault is not the primary objective of the Dirty Ice Heist in PAYDAY 3, no thief likes to let perfectly fine loot slip away. This primer serves as a step-by-step guide on how to open the secret vault in one of the game's principal heists, Dirty Ice.

How to open the Dirty Ice Vault in PAYDAY 3: Get a red keycard

The first thing you need before you can open the vault on Dirty Ice is a red keycard. There are a couple of different ways to get your hands on a red keycard.

Select security guards in the Ashton Fine Jewelry Shop will have red keycards pinned to their backside. If you're going in Loud, you can kill one of these guards and steal the red keycard off their corpse. If you opt for Stealth, you can pickpocket a red keycard.

Alternatively, you can find a red keycard inside a closet in the basement of the Ashton Fine Jewelry Shop. To enter the basement, you must input a code you can discover by perusing the emails on the computer in the Manager's Office. In the basement is a door to a safe with a red keycard next to it.

How to open the Dirty Ice Vault in PAYDAY 3: Escort a hostage or direct a fellow heister to the Manager's Office

Once you have a red keycard, your next destination is the Manager's Office. If you're playing solo, you will need to take someone hostage and bring them to the Manager's Office. If you're playing with friends, you don't need a hostage.

After you get to the Manager's Office, shove the hostage into the red button on the desk, and they will reluctantly hold it down for a few seconds. In co-op, feel free to instruct another heister to press the button instead.

While someone is holding the red button, hustle out of the Manager's Office and quickly swipe the red keycard on the keycard reader to the left of the Dirty Ice Vault to unlock it!

What's inside the Dirty Ice Vault in PAYDAY 3?

The Dirty Ice Vault contains a Rare Stone that's valued at about double a regular jewellery bag. Once you get the hang of opening the Dirty Ice Vault, stacking the Rare Stone with the rest of your plunder is an easy way to increase your payday.
