We’d implore you to read our explainer of the controversy so far, and consider supporting trans rights charities where possible.
How To Pick Your House For Hogwarts Legacy Early
To choose your house early for Hogwarts Legacy, you'll need a Harry Potter Fan Club account first. Log in with your details or create an account on the official website. Sign up with information like your date of birth and email address, and you're good to go. Once you're on the My Account page, look over to the left and you'll see three + marks in a purple circle. Click on the one below "HOUSE."
Once you've agreed to the Sorting Hat exam, you'll be asked a variety of questions like if you prefer dawn or dusk. Make sure to read all of the descriptions as some of the questions ask to place yourself in situations.
After all of the questions have been answered, you'll be given your result. I was picked as a Ravenclaw and will carry that through to Hogwarts Legacy, which is unfortunately not co-op.
- Some have been wondering if Albus Dumbledore will make an appearance in Hogwarts Legacy.
How To Get Your Wand Early And Link To WB Games
To pick out your wand for Hogwarts Legacy, go back to the main account page on the Wizarding World website. The third + symbol is where you can pick your wand. Click it to start the process. You can also get chosen your Patronus in this account area too.
From here, you'll be asked seven questions regarding your height, eye colour, and other aspects of yourself. It's much simpler than getting designated by the Sorting Hat and finding your Patronus. After answering these questions, I was given the Acacia Wood. The website says that it's "a very unusual wand wood, which [..] creates tricky wands that often refuse to produce magic for any but their owner, and also withhold their best effects from all but those most gifted."
To get your house selection and wand in Hogwarts Legacy, you'll need to connect a WB Games account to your Harry Potter Fan Club one. On the right side of the main account page, you'll see a tab with "Learn More About Hogwarts Legacy" on it. Click it.
Scroll down until you see the "Free Hogwarts Legacy items exclusively for Fan Club members" section. It has the wand and sorting hat displayed on it. Below you'll find a "Connect" tab. You'll want to select that. Just note you can also link your account when first loading into the game.
Now, log in or create a WB Games account and then your accounts will be linked. Make sure you log into the account when you start Hogwarts Legacy to make it remember your choices on the Wizarding World website. You'll also get the exclusive rewards, the Beaked Skull Mask and House Fan-atic School Robe, which can be worn around Hogwarts Legacy's open world. Unfortunately, Quidditch isn't playable in the game.
