How to glitch into other common rooms in Hogwarts Legacy

Want to explore every house common room in Hogwarts Legacy but don’t want to start four separate games to do so? Thanks to the Hogwarts Legacy community we've found a way to do it without all the extra sorting hat ceremonies. How to glitch into the map

Before travelling to any of the alternate house common rooms, you must glitch yourself underneath the map. This allows free exploration into any room in Hogwarts without the need to get past the common room doors.

There is a spot within the Transfiguration Courtyard which allows this. Travel to the courtyard via The Astronomy Wing. From the dragon statue, walk in the direction it is facing forward. To the right of the weeping woman statue, there are two windows overlooking the lake. Jump into the window further away from the statue.

Keep jumping at the window and eventually, you will jump through it to the other side. Once through, stop immediately and turn the camera around. If you have successfully glitched under the map you need to fall through it now. Walk to the corner indicated in the picture above, it will be a white patch beyond the grass, below the window you have just jumped from.

If the map reverts itself and you are in the lake, simply board your broom or fast-travel back to the courtyard Floo powder waypoint and try again. If you successfully fall down the map when walking to the white light, mount your broom so you can freely fly across the map.

Be careful to stay low on your broom, if you get too close to the surface the game will pop you back into the world.

If you struggle with the Transfiguration Courtyard glitch point, there is another point in Irondale in which you can glitch into the map. From the Irondale waypoint, walk up the road and turn right to see a house with a floating piece of cloth on the washing line outside.

Walk straight into the cloth, if you don’t fall right away try jumping forwards at the cloth or rolling into it. Once you have fallen, summon your broom.

This, however, means you will need to fly to Hogwarts to access the rooms so may take a considerable amount of time to do so. Luckily, you can still access your map whilst glitching underneath it so you can set a waypoint if you need to.

How to glitch into the Slytherin common room

After following the above tutorial to fall into the map, you'll be positioned underneath the Transfiguration Courtyard. Luckily, you will still have access to the map as a navigational tool.

Select the greenhouses as a waypoint marker and make your way over to them. Position yourself so you are in front of the entrance of the greenhouse (see the picture above for reference).

Facing in front of the entrance you will see the above rock formation (slightly to the left of the greenhouses). Fly in this direction and then turn around.

You will see three large window outlines, these are the windows of the Slytherin common room. Fly towards these and dismount your broom once you are above the stony ledge next to the windows.

You should pop up into the common room. Although the Floo waypoint here will register as 'discovered' it will not be placed on your map so you won't be able to fast travel back to the common room. Whilst there, take advantage of any locked chests before fast traveling out of the room (the entrance won't be interactable).

How to glitch into the Gryffindor common room

After following the tutorial in this guide to glitch into the map, you'll be positioned underneath the Transfiguration Courtyard.

On the map, select the Faculty Tower as your waypoint marker, you'll need to head in this direction to access the Gryffindor common room.

From the faculty Tower Waypoint, slightly to the right of it, there will be an opening into a cluster of buildings. Continue this way and turn right as the buildings turn around. You'll see the floating form of the Fat Lady.

Head towards the Fat Lady, beyond her there is a floating white square. You need to dismount off your broom on the white square to pop into the Gryffindor common room.

If you cannot see the white square, you may be positioned too low on your broom. Fly a little higher to change your viewpoint and you should see it floating in the middle of the tower.

How to glitch into the Hufflepuff common room

After following the tutorial in this guide to glitch into the map, you'll be positioned underneath the Transfiguration Courtyard.

Set a waypoint on the map for the Great Hall, this is the direction you'll need to fly in to get to the Hufflepuff common room.

Once you're directly underneath the great hall windows, turn to face the rock formation and greenery opposite the view of the mountains (pictured above).

Fly left from here and land on the rock pictured above. The rocks here are in a cluster of three, position yourself on the lower rock in a spot where it will allow you to land your broomstick.

How to glitch into the Ravenclaw common room

After following the tutorial in this guide to glitch into the map, you'll be positioned underneath the Transfiguration Courtyard.

Set a waypoint on the map for the Ravenclaw Tower via the Grand Staircase. From the courtyard, head towards the waypoint until you reach the base of the tower. From the waypoint you will see a square cut out of the tower, leading to the tower base. Follow through here.

Fly upwards and you'll see some floating posters, spam the dismount button whilst flying near the posters until you glitch into the common room.

Finding an area here to dismount can be tricky, we managed to do it in front of the two windows left of the posters (pictured above).

Once you glitch into the common room you can explore, the issue, however, is if you glitch yourself into the girl's rooms the statue guards will prevent you from accessing the common room if you are in a male preset For this reason, the glitch will not always work.
