Where to find Kneazles in Hogwarts Legacy
Kneazles are every cat fan's dream in Hogwarts Legacy. Kneazles are essentially magical bobcats that you can capture in Hogwarts Legacy and keep safe in your Vivarium or raise for valuable Kneazle Fur. Kneazle habitat locations in Hogwarts Legacy

Kneazles can be found in Kneazle Habitats, marked by a pawprint icon on the Hogwarts Legacy map.
Among the Kneazle habitats on the map, the easiest to access in the earlier stages of the game are located northeast of the Hogwarts Valley or at the centre of the South Sea Bog.

How to catch Kneazles in Hogwarts Legacy

To unlock the ability to catch magical beasts in Hogwarts Legacy you must complete the main story as far as the second Keeper trial. This will trigger Deek's quest 'The Elf, The Nab-sack, And The Loom' which will unlock the ability to capture, house and extract materials from magical beasts.
Once you locate a Kneazle habitat, approach stealthily whilst using the Disillusionment spell. Then, either cast Arresto Momentum or Levioso on the beast to keep it in one place as you capture it with your Nab-sack.
Click to enlargeIf you're lucky you may encounter the super rare Kneazle. There is one of each species to collect (except for the Phoenix of which there is only one in the game). You'll know if it’s the special Kneazle as it will be larger, and gold compared to the others and will have a star icon next to its species name.
If you wish to try your hand at capturing the special Kneazle you will need to visit a habitat, capture a Kneazle, fast travel and wait for an in-game day. Then visit the habitat and repeat the process until it spawns the rare one.

How to get Kneazle Fur in Hogwarts Legacy

Kneazle Fur is a high-quality crafting material needed to upgrade the quality of gear and add certain third-tier level enchantments to them. You can do so by interacting with a loom in the Room of Requirement upon completion of Deek's quest 'The Elf, The Nab-sack, And The Loom'.
Use the Conjuring spell in the Room of Requirement and access the utility menu to summon a loom. When you interact with a loom, hover over an item of gear and select the 'View Upgrade' option to see if you have the necessary materials to upgrade an item of clothing.
Click to enlargeYou can also add enchantments to gear using the loom to give you unique buffs and resistances. You will earn one such enchantment (Ancient Magic III) for upgrading gear 20 times. The enchantment requires Kneazle Fur to create and will significantly increase the damage dealt from Ancient Magic.
You can also unlock new spellcraft items for rescuing beasts under the Challenges menu.
