Hogwarts Legacy Alohomora: How To Get & How To Use
How To Get Alohomora
You will be able to get Alohomora in Hogwarts Legacy after completing the main story quest, The Caretaker's Lunar Lament.
In this stealth mission, you help the Hogwarts caretaker, Gladwin Moon. In an apparent plot to torment him with Demiguise Statues. You'll sneak past teachers and other students to retrieve the first of the moons each statue holds, making them disappear.
After being successful, Gladwin Moon will teach you Alohomora Level 1. In order to take on Level 2 and Level 3 locks though, you'll need to keep finding Demiguise Statues and returning them to Moon until he has enough to teach you the stronger versions of Alohomora in exchange.
How To Use Alohomora
To use Alohomora, you don't even need to assign it to one of your spell slots. You just need to approach a locked door or chest, and you'll get the prompt to use Alohomora over an unlocking mini-game.
In this mini-game, you need to do is keep moving the left and right joysticks on your controller until the respective red and green lights for each part of the lock, are lined up correctly and duplicated in two other circles in the middle and bottom right of the screen.
When successful, you'll have access to whichever room was locked and the loot it contains, or whatever loot is in one of the many locked chests you'll find as well.
That's all you need to know thanks to our Hogwarts Legacy Alohomora guide. For other tips on the game, find out how to unlock Avada Kedavra or how to unlock more spell slots.
