"Get me trainers of Spider-Man." Five years after Insomniac Games squeezed into its spandex for Marvel's Spider-Man, the much-hyped sequel is ready to stretch its web wings and swoop across New York City. With Spider-Man 2 tipped to be one of 2023's biggest games, it's no surprise Sony is going hard on the marketing.

One of the PlayStation 5's big selling points has been exclusives like God of War Ragnarok, Demon's Souls, and Insomniac games like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and 2020's Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Spider-Man 2 looks like it will be another acclaimed chapter in the PS5's legacy, so get ready to see it everywhere.

Adidas launches Spider-Man 2 trainers

It's not just Sony rolling out the red carpet for Spider-Man 2 with fancy (and bank-breaking) redesigned consoles. Adidas is continuing Miles Morales' love of the shoe brand by releasing another pair of real-life trainers inspired by the Spider-Verse.

When Miles Morales was released in 2020, we saw the shoe brand release a pair of red and black trainers honouring the hero of Brooklyn. With dollar signs presumably ringing in Adidas' eyes, we're back with some "Venomised" shoes as a nod to the sequel's darker tone.

Adidas, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel, and Insomniac Games have banded together for the Adidas Peter Parker Advanced Suit and Venom collection. More than just one trainer design, the collection includes everything from Ultra 4D sneakers to Adizero 12.0 football cleats, T-shirts, and even compression tights.

Made for gamers and athletes alike, the Adidas Peter Parker Advanced Suit and Venom collection is sure to be a hit. For many, it's the 4D trainers that are destined to be a must-have buy. They were being sold at Tilly's for a jaw-dropping $219.99, however, the first wave has sold out.

Seeing how quickly the trainers have sold out, it doesn't take someone with the genius of Otto Octavius to figure out they're destined to appear on auction sites with a meaty markup. We're used to Pokemon Happy Meal cards or Van Gogh collabs being scalped, but now, it's Spidey's turn.

The official Marvel announcement confirms the Peter Parker Advanced Suit and Venom collection will be available to buy from the "Adidas app, online, in stores, and in selected retailers" from October 20. If the first round of sales is anything to go by, you'll be lucky to catch any of the merch in your web.
