Where to find Oshawott in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk

Whether you first met Oshawott in the Unova region or the Hisui region, you'll already know it's impossible to resist the cuteness of this Water-type sea otter. Read on if you want to catch it in The Indigo Disk expansion.
How to get Oshawott in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Oshawott spawns in the Polar Biome, particularly on the northern side of this quadrant. When I found one, it was swimming to the east of the Polar Rest Area, so make sure you're checking in the water too!
Click to enlargeBefore you can encounter Oshawott, you'll need to contribute 3,000 BP to the Terarium Club so they can increase the kinds of Pokemon you can find in the Polar Biome. You can do this in the League Club Room.
Struggling to save up enough BP? Our BP farming guide should help. Once you've got enough, head to the top of the Polar Biome and use your Koraidon or Miraidon to swim around the water until you find an Oshawott.

Once you've caught yourself and Oshawott, you'll be able to evolve it into Dewott by raising it until it reaches Level 17.
If the Oshawott you have is already above this level, you can simply raise it by one more level and it will evolve straight away. You can use Exp. Candies or a Rare Candy if you don't want to wait.
How to evolve Dewott into Samurott
Dewott will evolve into Samurott automatically when it hits Level 36. There are no special evolution items required for this process.
Similar to the previous stage, if you've got a Dewott that's already above this level, you'll just need to raise it one more level for it to evolve.
Can you get Hisuian Samurott in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?
It's not possible to evolve or catch a Hisuian Samurott in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk DLC, as this regional variant is only available to evolve in the Hisui region of Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
However, it is possible to transfer a Hisuian Samurott from Pokemon Legends: Arceus or Pokemon GO with the help of Pokemon HOME. This app allows you to transfer eligible creatures between mainline games.
