The adorable Kanto starter Squirtle is finally available to catch in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's The Indigo Disk DLC, which means you can evolve Wartortle and Blastoise as well!

Classic Pokemon fans will be glad to know that The Indigo Disk expansion brings back every starter Pokemon from previous generations, including the Red & Blue trio. Here's everything you need to know to catch Squirtle in The Indigo Disk expansion so you can form your very own Squirtle Squad.

Where to find Squirtle in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

You can find Squirtle in the southern areas of the Canyon Biome, but before it will appear you'll need to donate 3,000 BP to the Terarium Club so they can increase the kinds of Pokemon that spawn there.

You can contribute BP to clubs by interacting with the PC in the League Club Room. If you're struggling to save up enough, check out this BP farming guide which should help you reach this goal much faster.

Once you've donated a hefty amount of BP to the Terarium Club and upgraded the Canyon Biome, search near the water at the southern side of this area to find yourself a Squirtle.

How to evolve Squirtle into Wartortle

Now that you've caught a Squirtle, you'll probably want to evolve it into a Wartortle. The good news is that this is a relatively easy process, as it only needs to reach Level 16 and it will evolve automatically.

If you've caught a Squirtle that's already over Level 16, simply level it up once by collecting exp or giving it a Rare Candy and it will evolve straight away.

How to evolve Wartortle into Blastoise

To evolve Wartortle into its final evolution, Blastoise, you need to raise it to Level 36 and it will evolve automatically. There are no special evolution items required to complete this process.

If your Wartortle is already above Level 36, simply level it up once and it will evolve into Blastoise.
