Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's DLC expansion The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is getting a special epilogue to round off the game's region-hopping story, so here's how you can kick-start the new adventure.

You've completed the Treasure Hunt, you've caught Terapagos, and you've made Kieran cry multiple times - now it's time to finish off your Pokemon Scarlet & Violet adventure with a short epilogue and a new Pokemon!

How to start Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's epilogue

Before you can access Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's epilogue, you'll need to do the following things:

  • Finish Scarlet & Violet's main story and post-story content
  • Complete the Academy Ace Tournament (rematch all the Gym Leaders)
  • Finish The Teal Mask DLC story
  • Finish The Indigo Disk DLC story

Once you've completed all of these, the next step is to get your hands on a Mythical Pecha Berry. You can get this by heading to the Poke Portal, visiting the Mystery Gift menu, and selecting 'Get via Internet'.

You'll now have a Mythical Pecha Berry in your Item Bag. Fly to Mossui Town in the Kitakami region and head over to Peachy's Stall. Interact with the small, round purple statue on the stall, and the Mochi Mayhem epilogue will begin!

Although you will need an internet connection to claim the Mythical Pecha Berry, you don't need an active Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet epilogue release time

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's epilogue story was released at 6AM PT / 9AM ET / 2PM GMT on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

This marks a change from the two DLC expansions, The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk, which were unlocked in the middle of the night for Trainers in the UK (or the late evening for Trainers in the US).

Remember, you can only access this epilogue if you own The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion and you've finished the main story and both DLC stories.

Now that you know how to start the epilogue, visit our Pokemon Scarlet & Violet homepage for more guides like the latest Mystery Gift codes, the upcoming Tera Raid schedule, and how to get the Mythical Meloetta.
