Sea Ganoderma in Genshin Impact is a specialty mushroom found along the beaches of Inazuma. In Genshin Impact, Sea Ganoderma appears as bright blue sprouts and is needed for certain character Ascensions. To find out more about Sea Ganoderma and where to find it, read on.

The above map shows prime areas to gather Sea Ganoderma. It is mostly found around the coastal areas of Inazuma, notably Kannazuka and Seirai Island.

Sea Ganoderma can also be purchased from Obata, an NPC merchant who resides in Ritou. He sells five Sea Ganoderma at a time, which restocks every three days and sells for 1,000 Mora each.

Sea Ganoderma can also be gardened to produce multiple harvests with a 'Path of Value: Orderly Meadow'. These paths of the meadow can be bought from Tubby at the Realm Depot in the Serenitea Pot. The Serenitea Pot is a customizable realm, unlocked once the player reaches Adventurer Rank 28 and completes the main Liyue Archon quest.

It is also possible to acquire four Sea Ganoderma from Mirai in Bourou Village after speaking to her for the first time and telling her to be careful.

What are the uses for Sea Ganoderma?

Although Sea Ganoderma is not currently used in any crafting recipes, it is a necessary talent upgrade material for Yae Miko and Kazuha's Ascension levels.

Ascension levels are the next step from talent upgrades. Essentially once a character reaches level ten, they max out talent upgrades and move onto Ascension levels, which require rarer materials to achieve. Maxing out a character's Ascension levels greatly increases their stats and abilities.

Kaedehara Kazuha is a returning character available with the 2.8 update, he will require 168 total Sea Ganoderma to reach the maximum Ascension level, along with other rarer items.
