Dragon's Dogma Update 1.050 is here, and we have the patch notes to run through for you. Dragon's Dogma 2 has had some major criticisms levelled at it, and while this patch certainly doesn't address all of them, it makes a start.

If you have been waiting to start the game over, change up your character's look, or buy a house, these things will be easier/possible with the new update. For a full breakdown, here are the patch notes for Dragon's Dogma 2 Update 1.050.

What are the big changes?

First and foremost, the addition of a new game option is finally here. Shockingly, until now there was no easy way to restart the game from the beginning outside of New Game Plus.

Now, if you so choose you can start a new game from the main menu. This will erase your current game as DD2 does not support multiple save files, but if you are not feeling your current playthrough you now have the option to start over.

Some things are being made easier in this patch, namely buying a house and changing your look. The quest for buying your own house was previously locked to later in the game, but now it will appear much earlier. Players who save up their Gold in the early game will finally be able to buy a home much earlier than before.

If you want to alter your appearance, picking up the Art of Metamorphosis is the way to go. This book has been a rare get until now, but going forward there will be a constant stock of 99 copies at the Pawn Guilds.

Beyond that, the changes are largely mechanical ones which we will detail below.
