If you are tracking down the Golden Trove Beetles in Dragon's Dogma 2, we are here to help. As we all know, carry capacity is one of the most important things to increase in any RPG, and Dragon's Dogma 2 has one of the most restrictive weight caps in recent history.

Golden Trove Beetles increase your carry cap by a fraction of a kilo each, meaning you will need to find many of them to make a significant improvement. We don't know just how many beetles there are in the game just yet, but here are all of the ones we have found so far.

How to spot Golden Trove Beetles

Before we start talking about locations, here are some tips about spotting them while you are out in the wilds of Vermund and Battahl. If you have been playing for any amount of time you will likely have stumbled on a couple of these giant beetles already, and if you're anything like me your first instinct was to kill it with fire.

Discovering that doesn't work, you pick up the beetle to discover it is a consumable, collectable item that you can use to improve carry capacity permanently, adding 0.15 kg of backpack space. A single beetle doesn't make much difference, so we need to be on the lookout for more.

The vast majority of these beetles can be found clinging to tree trunks, usually not too far from a road or path. Just keeping an eye out as you travel is a great way to find many of the beetles passively. That said, with so much foliage and detail they can be tricky to spot, at least during the day.

At night, the Golden Trove Beetles glow brightly. This makes them visible from much further away, the trade-off being that travelling is much more dangerous at night. You'll need to weigh up for yourself the pros and cons of searching at night. I wouldn't recommend it, but those beetles do get really shiny in the dark.

Golden Trove Beetle locations

Here are the more than 70 Golden Trove Beetles we have tracked down so far, marked on the maps below. As the world of Dragon's Dogma 2 is quite large, we have broken it down into two maps, focused on Vermund and Battahl.

In terms of landmarks, many of these are hard to describe considering they're usually just hanging out on the side of a tree. To save you from reading "this one is on the side of a tree" seventy times, I've marked the locations on the map, and recommend you head to each and have a look around.

You shouldn't have much trouble spotting each one, especially if you bring Pawns who are inclined to pick up items. They should point out nearby items, including Golden Trove Beetles.

That is it for our guide on Golden Trove Beetles, we will be back with updates as we learn more about them.
