There are plenty of Vocations to choose from in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and I’m sure you’re about ready to find out how to unlock them all so that you can chop and choose between your favourites and master them all.

Whether you want to become an astute Archer or a tricky Thief in the game, there are plenty of possibilities for a playstyle that suits you – you just need to unlock them all first.

Starting Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2

There are four basic Vocations that you’ll be starting with in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and they are:

Each of these classes gives a great indication as to how the more advanced Vocations will perform, so mastering them, or at least getting a feel for them, will be helpful if or when you want to change your Vocation.

For example, if you’re looking to try out the Magick Archer, then starting with an Archer build is incredibly helpful. Or if you want to become a hardened Warrior, then Fighter will be the best for you.

There’s no right or wrong Vocation to choose from, so be don’t afraid to try a smattering of all of them to see what works for you.

How to unlock Magick Archer in Dragon’s Dogma 2

To unlock the Magick Archer Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’re going to need to complete the Put a Spring in Thy Step quest on the Agamen Volcanic Island. This involves helping a fellow named Gautstafr with his terrible back pain by bringing him three wildflowers.

After he returns to the Windwaker's Home and the care of his wife, Cliodhna, you'll eventually need to escort him to the Geyser Hamlet so that he can soothe his back. After defeating an assortment of foes, you'll make it to your destination and be confronted by Cliodhna.

Despite her earlier trepidation, she sees that your heart is in the right place, will thank you for helping her husband and will unlock the Magick Archer Vocation for you to master.

To unlock the Mystic Spearhand Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’re going to need to talk to a character named Sigurd in the village of Melve, during the Readvent of Calamity quest. Essentially, you’ll need to fend off a lesser dragon that is attacking the village.

After doing so, you’ll see Sigurd wandering around the village (he’s one of the characters with his hood up to look all brooding). Once you do, the Vocation will unlock and you’ll be able to wield some powerful twin blades.

How to unlock Sorcerer and Warrior in Dragon’s Dogma 2

The Sorcerer and Warrior Vocations are some of the earliest Vocations you can unlock and come as part of the Vocation Frustration quest. To unlock them, you must bring an Archistaff and a Greatsword to Klaus in the Vernworth Vocation Guild.
